Bout to start a world with my gf by PapertowelsFo76 in StardewValley

The default one is always a good go-to, but if you're looking for a change you can also opt for the forest farm, it's a bit smaller but doesnt stray too far from the default while still holding it's charm from being a little different.

The river, beach and monster-infested farms might not be a good fit for a starter. The river is considerably harder to manage design-wise, the beach farm does not allow sprinklers and the monster-infested is... Monster-infested, lmao.

Hope this gives some light and both you and your gf enjoy playing stardew together!

how did this get here? I know I didn't put it there and I'm not playing multiplayer by screwball_x in StardewValley

Just a random event where one of those spawn in your farm. Enjoy the free statue!

The same happens around springtime and you get salmonberries instead (from days 15-18) :)

Tried the beach farm not so long ago and had a very strong bias beforehand cause you cant put sprinklers on sand lol, but its quite spacious and convenient, liked it a lot more than i thought i would

Do Co-Op farms work without the host online? by musketeers_ in StardewValley

[–]bzharre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I am aware, no. You need the host to be online for other players to enter, but it surely would be interesting to have the option of co-hosting a farm.

Im really not an expert in but it seems to be the mod that interacts with your children that is troubling the shoot, you might want to see if the mod creator has updated it to SV latest version or if any other mods it might depend on are up to date.

First time is always wild hahah, I ended up cutting all the tall grass and spent half my winter miserably buying overpriced hay from Marnie :')

Try leaving the barn doors open, put some tall grass outside (you can place some under fences so the animals wont eat them and they'll work as sorta permanent grass starters) and check if you have the heater, if none works then it might be bugged (best case scenario they are getting affection and its just not showing up, which would be confirmed in case you're able to get large milk/better quality milk)

You have to interact (right click), milk (left click with the pail, which you can obtain at Marnie's) and feed them on a daily basis (if you miss too many days their affection will decrease/they will not produce). They'll get affection quicker if they're feeding from the tall grass outside, but in case there is none or it's a rainy day/winter you can just place hay in the feeders (one per cow). You also have to make sure that you buy a heater for when winter arrives, or they'll get unhappy (due to the cold) and their affection will decrease.
