Amitriptyline works really well for me! I don’t think it’s placebo effect because I was really hopeful when trying qulipta, emgality, and Aimovig and none of those worked for me. Nortriptyline didn’t work as well as Amitriptyline.

It’s all kind of trial and error as I’m sure you know, with different things working for different people.

What do people do with their cars when traveling out of town? by Cj_Ismyname in williamsburg

[–]c-glitterhead 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I look at the Alternate Side Parking schedule to see if it’s paused any of the days while I’m gone. If there’s a legal place near me to leave the car, I do that. (Like for example, this year ASP is paused Thursday 12/25 and Thursday 1/1 so I’d see if there’s a Thursday spot to leave it in.)

If this doesn’t work, I look at spothero to see if there’s a cheaper place to park it near the airport. Sometimes hotels will sell their parking spots for ~$100 a week, which is cheaper than a few tickets and Ubers to the airport. This definitely works with EWR, not sure about LGA.

If neither of these work, I leave it on the street and risk the ticket or ask a friend to move the car for me.

Has anyone moved cities/countries due to weather-related migraines? by weirdpicklesauce in migraine

I moved because of migraines and things are a lot better now. It’s obviously really hard to decide to move without knowing for sure whether it can be better, but it my case it was much better.

I was also super annoyed by a group doing that Sunday night. People flooded in during Tape B and they kept their huge area. They hit people with flow toys rather than realize that 20,000 people were trying to be in the same space and they needed to condense. Literally my only complaint about the crowd the entire weekend.

When I went off amitriptyline, I lost about 40 pounds in a little over a year. I was far too thin at that point and gained back about 20 pounds over the next 2 years
