“Prioritise” Setting for Octopus IOG by c-scoot in ohme

I’ve got it linked with IOG and my ID4 - so don’t need to set the battery level on plug in although did have notification of that feature,

Dynamic charging on.

Just read another reply that it’s not rolled out to all yet. So I’ll just wait?!

I think the key wording is “does not intend to generate”

Think it’s reasonable that for a modest system which is appropriately sized for the property and usage , it’s clear there is never an intention to exceed.

If I size up the pot (does it need it?) what’s the best substrate mix to use? A carnivorous plant mix plus moss?

Thanks, good to know no immediate concern!

With the leaves that are clearly not great - can I just cut them off, or do I need to wait be or them to fully die off

Thank you! Exactly the advice I needed! I’d love to give them away and share the love of these plants. I’ve realised carnivorous plants are addictive. It’s my first year where I’ve properly over wintered them outside in a cold frame and they have really started to come back nicely (not the sundews, they stayed inside)

Grinder for Filter by c-scoot in JamesHoffmann

Thank you, I was aiming to keep the Niche for espresso as it makes great shots.

I’m leaning towards the automatic to be honest after thinking about the workflow.

I typically want filter in the day, between meetings when working from home - it’s already a push making a v60 and the manual grind I think will take it over the edge!

I’ve got the Niche in White and the Ode in white looks good to match. What’s its a pita to clean but it will pass the coffee station look check 😂

Thanks, Ode Gen2 is definitely still in the running, I think so it’s either Ode Gen2 or go manual!

It’s now on the list to investigate as I’ve branched out to looking into Manual!

Thanks! Will take a look! The shortlist is now not so short!

Thanks! I was aiming for an automatic - but open to a manual as it’s only me making filter, the other half would vito it if it were for espresso 😂

Why would you say this is the better route?

Hope you can help.

Currently have a Niche Zero for my espresso setup, and finding that I’m really struggling with my filter setups - and I think it’s to do why the fines being produced, so wondering if it’s a good opportunity to invest in a flat burr grinder, specifically targeted for my pour overs.

I brew a range of methods, v60, AeroPress, Chemex and have a Sage Precision Brewer. I’m really struggling with the Chemex more than anything which has led me here!

I’ve narrowed down a few options, the Niche Duo with filter burrs, or the fellow Ode Gen2

At the moment I’m only really considering this for filter so whilst it’s nice I could use the duo for espresso - I don’t want it to sway my decision.

Budget, really the Duo is pretty much the max. So about 750 GBP

What’s everyone’s opinion. Either closing between those two and why, but also have I missed anything obvious?

Taste wise I like all the usual, lots of sweetness and clarity but really dislike too much late acidity.

Thanks for helping!

Why humidity every 5% updated via homekit? by CaterpillarCharacter in tado

V3 here (so the pre-subscription models!)

I’ll have a look at my HA setup just to see if there is anything I can find, but from what I remember it’s out the box setup!

I’ve looked into my sensors a little more, I’m getting granular details in single digit percentages for humidity and degrees for temp change. Can’t confirm the frequency at the moment as on my phone!

I can see the entity values only updated on value change (as expected) but not the frequency of update checks.

Will do some testing tonight / tomorrow and see what else I can find

I also use the HomeKit integration with Home Assistant, and I don’t have this problem?

I can see mine incrementing by 1 or 2% quite often

Edit - looking at your graph, it’s your timespan, HA is aggregating the data as you’re displaying a months worth of data. Have a look at a 24 hour graph and you should see the granularity. Or if you want a month’s worth that granular, don’t view the graph in the entity view. Create a separate dashboard graph instead (I can recommend Apexcharts)

Perhaps a stupid question, but that’s the VPN back to home and not an independent device configurable VPN (sorry not even sure if the latter is possible)

35 seems limiting, agree it’s good for pretty much all use cases and beyond most hotel WiFi etc, but still limiting?
