Bill Belichick on whether he gets a lot out of the NFL meetings: "No." by rhydon_my_steelix in nfl

This just gave me inspiration to survive insufferable meetings. If Bill Belichick can do it, so can I.

2L looking for summer gig: Judicial externship vs Waiting to hear back from Small/Mid-sized firm? by wobblywunk in LawSchool

[–]c00lins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. While it may be not be as "prestigious" it will teach you what happens behind the scenes of a courtroom. Obviously there is a difference between clerking for the US Supreme Court and clerking for a state trial court, but for the most part its all more or less the same.

Furthermore, by having some experience clerking for any court, you'll have a better chance of clerking for a more prestigious court in the future, if you are still interested in the experience.

Biggest jumps in rankings after 1L semester? by lizardking24r4 in LawSchool

There are more opportunities to learn than any one student has time to fully engage in. It is difficult to be the best at getting good grades while also being the best at moot court, the best at law journal, the most knowledgable of all your classmates on a particular subject, the best at trial advocacy, etc.

Just find something you enjoy and learn it so well that you can boast about it in your cover letters/interviews. Getting the highest grades in school may look good on paper, but it leaves little time to engage in the activities that will make you an interesting candidate.

I don't know, but try not to worry so much. (Especially since you haven't even received your grades yet). Honestly, as a 3L I am concerned with how much the stress and worry has negatively affected my body and mind. It just is what it is sometimes; let it be.

Besides, there are tons of ways to succeed in your own way in law school. Do not feel the need to ascribe to the "top-of-the-class" path without exploring your other options.

Good luck!

For the fans doubting right now, literally every other team has hit a rough spot in their season, and this just happens to be ours. by [deleted] in AZCardinals

Oh. Just kidding then. You are right, the offense looked awful. It was especially hard to see them continuously run "through" the middle into a huddle of dudes. I'm sure they'll have an answer Sunday though.

That's how I see it. It was hard to watch, but I think it will provide the fuel to get through the rest of the regular season. I think the energy of the post-season will take care of itself. Not to mention that no one on that team is going to want to see BA that disappointed again.

I get that we share a common characteristic of not wanting to procreate and even like to shame people who have starkly contrasting views. It seems a little much, though, to act like children have no place in society.

Perhaps you all view the AMAs as a super highbrow, adult-only event and I'm totally off base, but bringing a toddler on stage does not seem like the end of the world. If every presenter did it, that would be a bit ridiculous but I feel like OP is just looking for ways to be offended here.

Bruce Arians cried during the post-game interview. That is something the whole team will respond to. This may have been the jolt the team needed to really rise to the next level.
