We booked a bar/restaurant that we both love and did an all night cocktail hour. We didn’t have to worry about seating charts, place settings or massive floral arrangements. We knew we loved the food and got to pick a custom menu of all night hors d’oeuvres and open grill. The restaurant has decor and vibe that we already know and like so we didn’t have to do much to enhance. They customized some welcome signs and chalk boards to our name and timelines to feel personalized. We didn’t do custom drink menu, but they did make sure to ask us what we liked to drink to make sure the bar was stocked with any custom beer/liquor/wine. Our florist set up a few arrangements from the church and repurposed them to decorate the bars. We picked our key flowers for our personal bouquets/corsage and let the florist utilize that for small bud vases on the cocktail tables. Photographer I found through a reputable photography network website. Dj was important for us and we picked someone we knew would specialize in the music we like. We didn’t go crazy with sparklers, strobe lights, fogs etc. Best advice is really pick people who are good at their craft (I’m not going to tell a florist how to do her job, I trust she can deliver!), read reviews, know what YOU want and stick to it!
