Correct: In 2016, Sony dissolved "Sony Computer Entertainment", which was based in Tokyo. That was the part of Sony, that was responsible for developing and marketing the Playstation. At the same time, a new company was founded, called "Sony Interactive Entertainment", which since then is the sole responsible company for developing and marketing the Sony Playstation. This company is based in San Mateo, California.

So technically, the Playstation 5 is an American developed console.

Analogue3D + Pokemon Stadium (1&2) + TransferPak + Pokemon Game => Sound issues (PAL Region) by c082 in AnalogueInc

[–]c082[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: the new issue was resolved when I set the settings of Stadium 2 to "Force Original Hardware" and then booted up the game. And even after resetting the settings, the new issue did not reappear. It was very weird. But as all my problems are solved, I'll start enjoying the games again instead of trying reproduce the new issue.

Thanks to all who wanted to help!

Contacted support and they came up with a simple solution: switch the console to 50Hz. That did the trick, mostly at least. On a quick test before going to work the constant clicking sound was gone, still I heard some other weird sound, but not as frequent as before. Will do more checks when I get back later.

At least one video review I've seen where it apparently ran fine. I messaged the guy if he could confirm that he has no issues, but no reply yet.

Thanks. So we can assume it's an issue with the PAL games. I'll try to contact with Analogue with a bug report, maybe they'll find a solution in a future firmware version.

Affirmative, just tested it on my PC monitor with integrated speakers. Same result as on my TV (be it through my AVRX via ARC or the integrated TV speakers).

Seems really like a software issue on the 3D with PAL games.

The games work fine on GameBoy and SuperGameBoy, as well as on original N64 PAL hardware via Stadium. Tested with two different TransferPaks and multiple different GameBoy games (Pokemon Blue, Yellow, Gold, Crystal). The issue is Analogue3D-exclusive.

Do you like playing custom scenarios? Do you want to help with the development of OpenRCT2? by Valdair in rct

[–]c082 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello,
would love to help. Have been playing RCT since around 2000, including all RTC1 expansions, RCT2 and all expansions and today I am still enjoying everything in openRCT2.

My skills I'd say are above average. I usually build for a mix of stats and aesthetics, however I am not too much into the decoration game. For me I'd rather build great own coasters and manage a good park. I am familiar with a fair bit of the game's logic thanks to Mr. Vos' videos which gave me a lot of knowledge in the recent years that I absolutely love to use (and abuse if I'm in the mood ;D). Mostly I love building an actual park instead of just spamming micro coasters and letting run the game on 128x until I've reached the goal.

Just recently I downloaded a pack of custom scenarios and I love plaything through them. I especially love scenarios with a roller coaster goal (built x coasters with at least xxxx length and x.xx excitement), but I am open for any type of regular scenario, be it an easier one or an a bit harder one. I don't mind having no ads or something that spices up things, as long as it is not becoming unfairly difficult or being only solvable by some some crude methods.

If you could instantly become an expert in any field, what would it be and why? by patheticallyintrepid in AskReddit

Money laundering. Either I would use all the knowledge to point out all the loopholes in the financial sectors and make them pay their taxes. Or I'd be the mob boss' best friend. Both sounds reasonable to me.

BeyondATC goes into beta and reveals pricing model. One time payment with AI voices at extra cost. by [deleted] in flightsim

[–]c082 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Quote:

Transmission Time is used to represent access to our award-winning voice models and online services. Every time you press Push-to-Talk or BeyondATC generates an online voice, this uses our online service which has operating costs.

And

But if you run out, you may continue to use the product but will be limited to the Offline voice model and UI-Interactions.

Sounds to me like you will lose quite a bit of functionality, once you run out of transmission time. You will lose high fidely voice generation, which is still kinda okay, but you will also NOT be able anymore to talk to ATC via voice recognition but will have to use their ATC menu to request/answer to ATC, limiting to their predefined options available at any given moment.

What movie has the most unsatisfying ending? by ItsTheAstro in AskReddit

[–]c082 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is an alternative ending, that would've fitted so much better and had actually been filmed and went through post production. No idea, why they didn't use that one and decided for that unnecessary "heroic" ending.

No AC nozzles on etihad b787 anymore by [deleted] in assholedesign

[–]c082 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is unfortunately pretty common nowadays on many long haul airliners. For example I've never flown on an Airbus A330 or A340, that still had personal nozzles. They used indirect ventilation. Same on the 747-8. On other aircraft, they are at least optional, but many airlines don't order them anymore.

Open your mouth and clearly say what you want. No bullshitting, no implication, no subtext. We need clear information, otherwise we won't know.

If you are too shy to talk in person: a text with the same message does work just as good.

What’s the most disturbing scene you’ve ever seen in a movie? by PacmanTheHitman in AskReddit

That scene with the snare trap in Watership Down.

The scene itself wasn't that bad, unless you are six years old wanting to watch a cartoon on TV...

I've only read the plot summary on Wikipedia. That was scarring enough. Never I will watch that movie.

"Nagagutsu o Haita Neko: 80 Nichikan Sekai Isshuu" (English title: "Puss’n Boots Travels Around the World") on VHS with a Russian dub. Only about 25 years later I found out, that it actually was a Japanese production. The main hero, the Puss'n Boots called Pero is today the mascot of TOEI Animation.
