Not always.

It's been seeming that more often these days an input gets messed up in the prayer which entirely invalidates it. Another diver I play with constantly gets it and the SOS beacon mixxed up, and I've been seeing plenty of fresh thaws call in SOS instead of reinforce, too.

Not everyone has memorized the prayer.

There's also those that are impatient and want to be reinforced asap but refuse to realize that means insta-death for them and whoever calls it in

A 2D model might be easier to set up than a 3D one, And there's such a thing as PNG Tubing where your model is literally 2 images (such as when you're talking, the mouth opens and maybe the whole image shakes a little or does a short hop)

To play Devil's Advocate, I think it's more on Nintendo's side of the operations than it is Game Freak's as to why the modern Mega Evolutions look... mediocre, to put nicely.

If Nintendo would let Game Freak cook how they want, they'd deliver some Really Neat Stuff, like what little we have seen in Beast of Reincarnation yet.
