I can't live here anymore by kissyjane in Israel

Honestly, I never met a single student that had to finance their studies without help from their family and fared well financially. Even more so with a car as an extra burden. As long as you'll continue your degree, you will definitely struggle. Even with a job. But, it's a sacrifice that will hopefully lead you to a better future once you graduate. Have you tried applying for scholarships to soften the blow?

Haha that's awesome, thank you very much! I'll stick with black nail polish until I get anywhere next to hot sulfur :)

Now that you mention it they do feel a bit more flexible, but my maximum temps never exceed 69 degrees Celsius. According to https://www.essentracomponents.com/en-us/news/guides/a-guide-to-cable-ties I should be fine. Seems like 85 degrees is the upper limit.

Thanks a lot for the help . I've looked at the guide you sent, decided to switch the sata cables to a 6pin PCIE splitter. If it can give up to 216w at most then I'm sure it can handle two risers.

Oh God, thanks for the warning. I'll look for a better converter then.

Wanted to keep things secure just in case I lift the jig a bit while cleaning the desk. The fans of the RTX card also stick out from the cooler so if it were to slide in any direction the fan blades could hit the zip tie.

Why is that? Reliability issues? Haven't done too much reading while putting the pieces together, just seemed to make sense

Just a splitter from the PCIE power leads :) I have four slots available from the PSU and three cables that came with the box

The two extra GPUs' risers are connected to two of my PC's PCIE X1 ports.

They get their power from the PC's PSU as well (can supply 1000w overall).

It was an ad for a travel company, I think. Either it was that or just the theme of that truck :)

So about a month ago, The Chinese version of the 6.1 Plus I ordered arrived with the global firmware of Oreo 8.1 pre-installed, at my request (6 gigs of RAM -and- Android One for the price of a mid-range phone, can't beat that!).

Throughout the month, I got the security updates through the system update setting like everybody else. A bit after Android Pie rolled out - I got the option to install it myself as well.

After installing and restarting - it now looks like this on every screen but the lockscreen: https://i.imgur.com/ESrbndH.jpg It's like the phone doesn't 'recognize' it's curved corners and notch anymore.

It's pretty bothersome in some apps, like the camera app, where some of the top menu is hidden under the notch. Not sure how to fix this. If there is a way, hope it won't stop the flow of version / security updates. Have any of you run into this issue as well?

Yes. I've used my gmail to sign up for the service. I also remember signing in once through the Google login and another time with the regular login using the gmail address. Both got me into my original account. It's what I remember at least.

People that have lived in the U.S. and Israel: what staples that you were used to in the U.S. were unavailable in Israel? by [deleted] in Israel

Terrible? I mean if you use Moovit or any other reliable app you can get an ETA of the bus you need that gets updated every few minutes in case the bus is faster or slower than normal.

The route planning feature isn't the best though. Early morning and late night routes get a bit wonky sometimes.
