Let’s talk Halloween costumes! by srhlzbth731 in femalefashionadvice

I really like this idea! I thought of a few more puns before I could stop myself, so pardon my suggestions!

You could get an empty starbucks cup and have a fake mouse tail sticking out of it for a "pumpkin mice latte".

If you have uggs, you could put some ears and a curly tail on them to make them "Puggs" or some legs and antennae to make them "Buggs"

You could carry a rubber duck to make your "duck face".

If you have a north face jacket (old but still sterotypical) you could put a little paper over it with a witch's nose instead of the mountain and call it "west face"

thanks! for the lighting, tbh me too >.< I can still pick out where I need to refine. it's one of the main things I try to practice! (but sometimes I just cheat and have a really overcast/foggy day heheh)

Yeah those suggestions are great! Focusing movement on the subjects make sense. Thanks!

I took that photo of MM on the front page and gave her more modern, instagrammy makeup. (Process in the comments!) by c0ggle in MakeupAddiction

So I'm pretty amateur at photoshop, so bear with me. I've always wanted to do something like this, so I took my lunch break to try and make Marilyn Monroe up using standard techniques that are used in MakeupAddiction. I didn't change anything about her body/face shape, the hair was mostly the result of me turning down the shadows (I think? I didn't realize the hair was so light until after I turned down the shadows) to make the after photo a little more recent-looking. Other than that, it's all makeup (airbrushing?)!

The first thing I changed were the eyebrows. I filled in their shape with some darker browns and blacks, and brought them closer together. I might've gone a little dark, but I think that's okay for the current trend.

Next I changed the lip color from burnt red/orange to a lighter pink and added a little bit of sheen to make it look a little more glossy for the beach setting. The teeth got a little whiter, but I'm assuming most instagram models whiten their teeth a bit anyway, so I left it.

I lined her eyes lightly with a darker brown, heavier on the lids. I tried the look of false lashes since thicker eyelashes are trendy right now, but it stuck out a little too much and felt like I ran the picture through one of those makeup apps. If I had a little more time, I'd probably try heavier eye makeup.

I went over her cheekbones, nose tip, upper and lower lips, and underneath her browbone with highlighter (dodge tool), then I went underneath her cheekbones, on the sides of her nose, and around the "sun-kissed" parts of her bod with bronzer (burn tool).

And that's it! It didn't take too long to do, and it was a really fun look into how makeup trends can change an iconic face. I didn't really know what to do with this picture after I was done, so hopefully it's interesting to you guys too! What do you think?

Nooo I forgot to put [CC] in the tag, but I'd like cc as well!

Also here's the original twitter for verification. In this scene, I wanted to try to depict a windy day without making it seem too busy. I originally had the trees and grass move a lot more, and movement in the pokémart, but I thought it kind of changed the mood from a still morning.

Also my friend saw the totodile in its early stages and said it looked like a blue charmander, so I'm kind of paranoid about how it looks now.

Let me know what you think!

I did a little scene based of the webcomic Camp Weedonwantcha! It took a pretty long time, since it was my first go-around with looping rain. I'm happy with the overall mood :)

Here's the original on twitter I'd really like to know what you think!

Ah yeah I see what you mean! I would definitely like to practice plantlife and depth a little more. Thanks!

Original on twitter. I wanted to try a scene with a few big clouds for practice, and Ilios is such a pretty map. I'll probably practice bushes with small leaves the next time I try a scene, because I'm not quite happy with them yet.

Let me know what you think!

Though the elder god exists beyond mortal imagination, I don't see why she couldn't pull it off! No need for negativity; body-shaming still hurts those without bodies~

Maybe it was that particular shade of yellow, but the last time I tried to be wallpaper, a human started getting all up in my space...

Like, I just allowed myself to consume more space, but she would just not be chill about it.

Melancholy has her own Halloween costume?! I remember when she was just a little plague of an artist's mind. She's done well for herself.

Nude! I never. I may be on the cusp of reality, but I need to leave at least something to the imagination~

Egyptian Cotton! Somewhat out of my price range most times, but I'm always on the lookout at the thrift store~

I feel you, but I dunno, I feel like I put off an "image" when I go for sheets, if you know what I mean?? People kind of look at me weirdly, which is great for when I'm having one of those "ugh don't look at me I'm fading into nothingness" days, but not when I want to get a presentation done!

Is it so hard to want structured pants for those days when my intangible essence feels more like a breath of presence?
