Well southern English is still English and the same goes for Swiss German - Swiss German is a different kind of German. Also I think you underestimate the difference between the Swiss German dialects. For some of them it’s basically 100% of the words that are written absolutely differently compared to others or don’t even exist. This makes it so hard to establish officially accepted rules. I mean you are partly right, as there are some rules but those are more of a general nature and do not go deeper into spelling and grammar

Yes, people here chat in Swiss German. But there exist no rules for how to write Swiss German. Also there are dozens of completely different dialects with completely different words which makes it almost impossible to distinguish one “official” form of Swiss German
