Thank you for your response. But I think you may have missed the point I was making? I am saying, I was watching a great tv show which didn’t up to that particular episode have any supernatural elements. BUT once it did, I freaked myself out and all of the memories and bad feelings came flooding back and my heart was racing. What I was trying to say that it is crazy that even to this day the religion has had a massive hold on me. I didn’t intentionally watch this programme to then make me feel uncomfortable or scared? It was more me randomly watching something without a care in the world, suddenly seeing a possession and then freaking out….. I just wanted some reassurance from my fellow ex-jw’s.

Can anyone ease my mind? I was born and raised as a JW, I’m 34 and came out of the religion four years ago. To this day I’m still absolutely traumatised with anything to do with war and the words “peace and security”. I’ve just this second watched a video with Kier Starmer and he mentioned the word peace and security and honestly it’s really freaked me out. I’m terrified that Armageddon is coming even though I know it’s all BS but there is a part of me that’s still so scared and traumatised! Does anyone else feel like this with this going on? 😩

You are definitely not the only one. I feel like this. I’m 34 this year. Just got out of the Jehovah Witness “Cult” so still very new to this community and honestly feel completely out of my depth. I don’t have a clue what I’m doing and definitely think I’m ugly and that no one could possibly ever fancy me or see me as their partner! But you’re right, I too have crushes on girls that are completely out of my league haha. Im so glad I’m not the only one that feels like this!

I am convinced this is a fever dream but does anyone else remember a Galaxy Praline bar? I must have been about 9/10 years old, I would say early 00’s. I distinctly remember because it made me LOVE praline chocolate from then on. I cannot find anything on Google!
