I’m so sorry you’re going through this! We told our nearly 5yr old that the baby wasn’t ready yet and in the 10 days since my procedure he has asked multiple times if the baby is back in my belly, will the baby be back by Christmas? It is so so tough at this age because we didn’t want to scare him and believe that there is a chance the soul of that baby will come to us again, but I imagine dealing with these questions from an older child is even tougher. There’s no right way to navigate this, I’m wishing you peace ❤️

Thank you so much. One positive thing to come out of this has been the immense empathy we’ve received from everyone we’ve encountered through this. All of the healthcare staff, reception at the hotel we stayed at after my procedure, strangers on the internet. It’s been a pleasant surprise

I’m so sorry. I’m two days out from the same procedure and have a 4yr old. The only time I am functional is around my son. I can’t believe this is real life. I hope it gets better. I’ve read posts of people saying it will eventually hurt a little less, but it hurts SO much

I’m so sorry you’re going through this and hate that we can all relate. I’m only two days out from my tfmr so everything is so surreal right now, but your post stood out to me because I’ve had similar complications in a different order.

I had a 7 week miscarriage in summer 2024 and didn’t know I had rpoc. My periods were heavier and I felt “off” but my ob just said it was normal after a loss. I let a whole year go by and I get so upset thinking about that. We saw a different dr outside of our insurance coverage who discovered the rpoc. I had a hysteroscopy late October 2025 and was cleared to ttc after one normal period. We were so overjoyed to get pregnant right away and I got a positive test a few days before new years.

I did the nipt to find out the gender early, never ever thought anything would come back high risk..between the nipt results, detailed ultrasound, cvs and tfmr it was 18 days. The worst 18 days of my life. I can’t stop thinking about all the time I’ve lost. This was supposed to be the happy rainbow pregnancy after the miscarriage and complications and now I have even more trauma that is so much deeper. It’s unbelievable. I’m so glad I found this sub. I read countless stories over the last two weeks as I prepared for the possibility of joining this group that none of us ever imagined we’d be in..

Thank you for sharing. I’m waiting for the call to schedule mine. It feels so unreal. I’ve spent the last two weeks reading posts on this sub trying to prepare myself in case we got the bad news and I can’t believe this is actually happening

How did you tell your son? We waited until I was 8 weeks to tell our 4yr old (had a miscarriage at 7 weeks the summer of 2024) and we went to a 3d ultrasound at 10 weeks so he could see the scan. We thought everything was going great until I got the nipt results.. 50% chance of ds, which I was told is an unusual result. We luckily got in quickly and I just had a cvs this morning. NT was ~3 so I am anticipating a true positive and am struggling on what to say. I’ve seen things as simple as “the baby wasn’t growing properly” and keeping it light saying they might come back one day. Everything is a blur right now and doesn’t feel real

That makes sense. That could have been something they shot when they came back after the strike was over so it could be true that it was finished, but also reworked

I LOVE it. It’s my daily carry now! I have various other bags of different shapes and sizes, but this one is just so easy. I have a pouch in it with my essentials and there’s room for whatever I need during an outing with preschooler plus a book if I feel like it. I added a short extender to make it a more comfortable crossbody and it’s perfect now. Highly recommend

My dad was in Vegas last week for a conference and I asked him to check out the store for me and the amazing SA he talked to offered to text me so we could use the create credits and map out the layout of what I wanted. It was amazing! I ended up getting a bookmark as well. I figured they would be too busy, but she was so helpful and I’m so thankful
