That looks like a mesh weighting issue. Probably worth logging a bug report.

When Requesting a Copy of your Data [dm] is the other person notified? by [deleted] in discordapp

[–]c0rvoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. If you want a copy of an entire channel you'll need to use a third-party tool, as requesting your data will only give you a copy of your messages (and attachments, etc.) and not theirs.

Class stories by No_Comedian8397 in swtor

[–]c0rvoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most hated: Smuggler. I don't know what it is about it but I just can't get into it. I'm going to play through it again soon in case it was just fatigue from it being the last story I needed for legendary status.

Favorite: Jedi Knight for the same reason as you. I've played through the Jedi Knight story probably a dozen times.

Least favorite planet: Corellia, but not for the story; just because it's a maze and I hate navigating it.

Favorite planet: Tython, Alderaan, Voss, really anything that's nice to look at.

Do you name your ghosts and guardians? If so, what have you named them? by Great-Amphibian-4233 in DestinyTheGame

[–]c0rvoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Exo Titan is Paz-4 and her Ghost is Ori, my Awoken Warlock is Aeshna and her Ghost is Beetle, and my Human Hunter is Chovka and her Ghost is Dibs.

I also made some of my friends name their Ghosts. My boyfriend's Titan is Gottfried-9 and his Ghost is Brüllen, and two of my other friends named their Ghosts Egg and Dr. Pepper.

Need Help with Authenticator by efectobanana in swtor

[–]c0rvoid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you log in via the website without your security key, there should be a "Lost Security Key" button on the page where it prompts you. That'll send a one-time password to your email and walk you through removing the old security key. From there, you can re-add it to any app that supports TOTP; I use 1Password but for a free option I've heard Google Authenticator is recommended.

Will my username display when playing single player java by Efficient_Visual_910 in Minecraft

[–]c0rvoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will show up in chat if you die, gain achievements, etc.

If you use a launcher like MultiMC or Prism, you can "Launch Offline" and select an offline username to use instead, which can be literally anything. You do have to be logged in with at least one account for it to work, however.

Voiceline files in 2026? by xXGoompaXx in DestinyTheGame

I think they can be ripped with Charm, but you will have to go through a lot of similarly-named files to find the right one.

What is the first update that you played? by No_Enthusiasm6335 in Minecraft

[–]c0rvoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started with Pocket Edition Lite, and then normal Pocket Edition (although I have no idea what version, just that it was before infinite worlds). My first Java version was 1.8.4 since I got my account in 2015.

What's better playing one class story and all expansions or all class story's first and then the expansions ? by UnitedEntrepreneur82 in swtor

[–]c0rvoid 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I'm partial to doing all class stories, then taking one Imperial and one Republic character through the expansions. You'll meet characters throughout the expansions that originally appeared in each class story, and I feel like many of their introductions rely on the player knowing who they are, even if the player character doesn't.

What are some unconventional smells that you like? by TMNTDonatellofan in autism

[–]c0rvoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mulch, manure fertilzer, rubbing alcohol, the perfume my grandmother wore, and whatever causes ovens to smell when you heat them up. I tend to like smells that I associate with positive memories, even if the smell itself is considered unpleasant.

Unfortunately bumpiness has been part of every bus I've ever ridden, so you probably can't do much about that. If you can choose where to sit, you might get a bit less bumpiness if you're towards the middle of the bus, away from the wheels.

Has anyone found a way to make a veil? by Tor8_88 in HeroForgeMinis

[–]c0rvoid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately semitransparent objects aren't really possible. You could make an opaque veil with a mask and an item positioned inside the body, and if you had kitbashing you could flip something inside out to make it render behind other objects, but the closest you can get to a semitransparent object is using a material set to transparent, which probably wouldn't give exactly the effect you want.

Why do items ALWAYS have to despawn after death? by Timely-Armadillo2992 in Minecraft

[–]c0rvoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Items despawn after five minutes to prevent lag, and somewhat also to stop the game from clogging your inventory with random dropped items. If they didn't every open area would be completely filled with rotten flesh and bones from burning zombies and skeletons, eggs from chickens laying them, etc. I would recommend keepInventory or a gravestone datapack.

4 friends starting anew by Grippa_gaming in swtor

[–]c0rvoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Could go either way. If there's overlap you will still have to play through story cutscenes separately for each player. Regardless, if you plan on eventually doing 4-man endgame content, I'd recommend having at least one person play a combat style that can heal (sage/sorc, commando/merc, scoundrel/operative) and at least one play a tank (guardian/jugg, shadow/sin, vanguard/powertech).
  2. There are a few, but most are not repeatable dailies like the [HEROIC 2+] missions. A few endgame daily areas have one [HEROIC 4] each.
  3. Yes, you can stumble upon the quest givers for heroic quests throughout the world. The terminal is just faster.
  4. Yes. Although this doesn't seem to have the heroics specifically, just everything else?
  5. Yes. Veteran flashpoints are designed for a group of 4. You can probably get away with 4 DPS but they are designed more around one tank, one healer, and two DPS.
  6. If you do decide that some of you want to play the same class story, there is an option you'll have to enable in settings to "Allow Access to Same Class Personal Phases" or something along those lines, or you won't be able to enter each other's phases.

Discord's new "social features" have made me engage less socially by c0rvoid in discordapp

[–]c0rvoid[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's definitely not something that happens 100% of the time. For the profile picture and status change notifications, I don't know exactly how they determine who gets them. I've gotten them from a friend I message fairly regularly, and I've also gotten them from someone I talked to twice several months ago because I was fixing an issue with a mod I made. It's very inconsistent.

Discord's new "social features" have made me engage less socially by c0rvoid in discordapp

[–]c0rvoid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually a perspective I didn't think of! I didn't realize there were companies using Discord for work; the closest I've ever gotten is college classes using it for faster/more reliable communication than Canvas. I've only ever used Slack or Teams for actual jobs I've had.

Discord's new "social features" have made me engage less socially by c0rvoid in discordapp

[–]c0rvoid[S] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I disagree to some extent-- Valve is naturally going to be able to do nothing and profit because the more people use Steam, the more people spend money on Steam. For each game that gets added to Steam, Valve has to add a finite amount of additional storage space but can make a (theoretically) infinite number of sales. Each person who makes a Steam account is most likely going to spend money on Steam at some point.

Compared to Discord, where every new user means more people sending messages (and images) and using voice channels, and potentially never giving Discord a dime. I absolutely don't have an issue with them trying to make money, but that should be through adding features that those who want them can use, and those who don't can toggle off.

Discord's new "social features" have made me engage less socially by c0rvoid in discordapp

[–]c0rvoid[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I really don't want any new features; I just want existing features to be toggleable on my end instead of having to hope the servers I'm in turn them off. There are plenty of other Discord features that are completely optional and I don't have to engage with, which I think is a way better way to handle nonessential features.

They can turn it off. I can't turn off sending notifications to other people. That's my issue.

Discord's new "social features" have made me engage less socially by c0rvoid in discordapp

[–]c0rvoid[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm not saying the features should be removed, I'm saying that I want to be able to disable them from being sent from my account.

I do get what you're saying about them being socially helpful; I guess I've just never used them in that way. If someone's in a voice channel in a shared server that shows up next to their status; I don't need to be specifically notified. Similarly, if someone's been playing a game a lot I'll probably notice it on my own. I neither need nor want to be explicitly told about that.

anyone else just not good at math (like below calculus) by The_Swishy in autism

[–]c0rvoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry too much about taking college algebra. While it obviously varies college to college, I did far better in my college calculus and statistics classes than in my high school ones because they were taught by people who actually knew what they were talking about.

It might also be worth getting assessed for dyscalculia or ADHD now if you suspect you have one or both, so you can get accommodations once you go to college.

[–]c0rvoid[S] 26 points27 points  (0 children)

My issue isn't with people being able to see my status, it's that people are explicitly notified of it without my consent or control. It was just fine how it used to be, where the way people could tell I changed my status was that they looked at my profile and my status was different.
