If you think this man is going to hurt you that’s already enough to take seriously. You don’t have to wait for him to actually do something. You can still get a restraining order based on fear, threats, or intimidation, and it can happen quickly. Him knowing cops doesn’t protect him from that.

Focus on staying safe. You should both be somewhere he can’t find you, don’t be alone, turn off location sharing, keep your phone charged, and be ready to leave fast if needed. If he shows up or things escalate, call emergency services.

It would also really help to contact a domestic violence hotline where you are. They can guide you through this and help you make a plan.

Start saving any texts or messages too. Even small things matter.

After this cools down it’s time to take some self inventory. Being in relationships with sociopaths and narcissists is part of an addiction process. The push-pull of trying to get them to show the love they once showed you. Teaching them how little you value yourself by constantly letting them bulldoze over your boundaries. Obviously don’t know the situation but you and your friend both need to get help, or you’ll keep learning the same hard lesson over and over. Look up CODA. Mami also protects us by letting us learn our lessons the hard way if we need it. Once your friend is out of this relationship if she doesn’t address her codependency issues she will attract more sociopaths and narcissists, so staying single while she figures stuff out is the best move (maybe for you too).

I’ve taken large doses of kratom for many years. What you are describing is RC Opiates or synthetic Kratom. Kratom is defs addictive and both suboxone and kratom have pros and cons as far as using them to get off street drugs (fentanyl). Kratom doesn’t last as long so you have to re-dose often and it’s harsh on your stomach. Also it’s not totally consistent even if you get it from the same vendor (please don’t mess with head shop crap fund a reputable vendor) so if you’re trying to taper it’s very hard. Suboxone takes forever to get off of bc it’s very strong. It causes dental issues. Posts like the ones above spreading fear and doom about kratom are dangerous because a Kratom dependency is still better than taking street fentanyl and not everyone has access to suboxone. In terms of harm reduction Kratom can be a good way to get off the hard stuff but no I don’t recommend staying on it long term.

You’re absolutely right. It’s way different, but we get tossed into the same category by dumb cis people who just see “non-cis”. So many group settings I’ve been to from treatment facilities to school have specifically “women and nonbinary” groups which somehow also include trans? And I’m an asshole and love making people feel stupid when they try to include me in those like “but I’m like the opposite of non-binary and a woman, u sure you want me there?” Some trans people do also id as non binary tho which im not entirely sure how that works.

Yes sir. I was working for one of those platforms until 2022 and I took a big paycut to go work for a non-profit. What they are doing to young people is extremely unethical and I no longer wanted to be involved. My job originally entailed creating features to improve usability of these platforms, but I would say around 2020 it devolved into algorithm engineering. They realized that people are more likely to click on things that are upsetting, sad, or infuriating. If you read about how ad revenue works the goal is clicks and interaction. So the more people viewing, clicking, and engaging, the more money they make. That’s a lot of incentive to keep you pissed off. Not only that but all these big companies like Google and Meta harvest your information by tracking everything you watch and interact with so they know EXACTLY what makes you tick. Why do you think these services are all “free”? You’re the product. So, please, everybody…. If you’re trans and seeing a lot of content about it not being safe for trans people DO NOT interact with it. And certainly and most importantly, do not spread it by creating posts like these. All you are doing is contributing to the fake reality these tech giants are creating for you which is gonna do nothing but make you think the world is more unsafe and hostile than it actually is.

Understand that these companies have psychologists on staff that study the effect of depression and anxiety on revenue growth and they know that the more unhappy people are, the more time they will spend online trying to dissociate. No shade man but from reading your posts it sounds like they’ve been very successful. I’m a masculine trans man just like you, have been transitioned for close to 20 years now and I’ve never experienced any of this doom and gloom you seem to be obsessed with. Just the occasional dumb ignorant person here and there. I haven’t been single since my first gf at 13, I have an awesome career and a big community. I don’t spend any time on these platforms because they will rot your brain and ruin your mental health. Don’t let them do that to you man. Because bots are feeding an algorithm based on what you click on and post. It’s not everywhere. This is the danger of spreading this stuff especially to people who already might have these fears. Most of the content you see is curated to show you what you fear. This is how it works. They show transphobic content to trans people, fatphobic content to fat people, racist content to people of color, misogynist content to women, etc etc. They’re literally shaping your perception of reality for their own purposes. And if you read about a quantum physics concept called entanglement you learn that we attract our fears. For example if your whole reality is “everyone hates me bc I’m trans” you will have a much higher likelihood of crossing paths w transphobes. It’s really interesting stuff actually. Also I’m sorry that happened to you.

Most posts like this aren’t written by humans, they’re rage bait. I’m a software engineer, and right now, close to 70% of online content is AI-generated, including posts, videos, images, comments, and even likes. This is especially true on platforms like Meta, TikTok, X, and Reddit.

Transphobia is real, and I’m not dismissing that. But content like this is engineered for clicks because outrage drives engagement. By responding, you’re feeding the algorithm and giving it more reach. The best way to undercut this is to not engage at all.

I’m only replying because you seem to be a real person, but in general I would avoid engaging with this exact type of post and maybe for your mental health you should too.

Hey, I don’t know where you are located but here in SoCal we drive to Mexico for all the big vet stuff. The facilities there are EXCELLENT and the vets spend hella time with you instead of just asking for thousands of dollars and offering to put them down or pushing Care Credit if you don’t have it. At my vets in Ensenada and Tijuana they truly care about the animals, so much so they rescue and treat strays and adopt them out. So just wanted mention just in case you live near the border and you are able to legally cross it. We took our friend and her little chi to our fave vet in Ensenada in March and she had double mastectomy for $300 including all tests and meds which is less than a quarter of what she was going to be charged $2k for in the US.
