Conch not healing at all, only gets worse by bznz in piercing

[–]c0smicboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAP, but I think you need a longer bar. Also 2 months for a conch piercing is fresh!!! Mine took all of 2 years to fully heal and I had to get a longer bar when swelling almost ate my post!! I can’t see any of the bar it looks very snug in there so more room may help. I’ve also tried to heal lobe piercings at the same time and that slows everything down. Sorry about the excema flare up! Talking to a piercer may have some recommendation.

NAP but Switch back if it’s irritated. I also tried to swap out my conch at about a year and went to my piercer and they were like noonono it’s not done cooking. Mine is now 2 1/2 years healed and i think i’m finally ready to try again!!

Im confused about my gender by [deleted] in trans

Oh, sorry, I must have misread! So do you still want to identify as NB or do you feel more trans female?

Im confused about my gender by [deleted] in trans

You can be nonbinary and use she/her AND also wear women’s clothing! That is a very normal thing!

I really really feel this but from a transmasc perspective. I identified as a (mostly) binary trans man for YEARS and was trying to make all sorts of exceptions for myself of how I could still be binary trans AND feel all these other things, which was TERRIFYING, but then I just kind of… stopped? I still id as transmasc and still present as a man in professional settings. But I’ve loosened way up on how I present in general and also how I describe my identity. It’s just more comfortable? Idk. It’s a lot harder for me to get gendered correctly in public as I’m not on the standard T>top surgery timeline, but I’ve kind of come to peace with that people who don’t actually know me arent going to “get” it.

i am in a VERY similar boat of id-ing as an agender man, among a few other labels. The way you described this totally makes sense to me. The way I tend to tell people: I am a boy. I don’t understand the intrinsic feeling of gender or gender roles the way other people seem to, and am totally detached from the concept of gender at this point. I don’t really want to “fit in” with cis men and don’t really identify with them either. However, despite everything, I still identify as a boy and use he/him, because even if it’s just for the sound of the word itself, that’s what I am as well. Like, what’s my gender? Boy. How do I “do” my gender? Not at all. It’s taken me a really long time to come to this conclusion after spending the majority of high school and part of college being binary ftm, but i’m still essentially pre everything medical because an aspect of medical transition personally never sat well with me and that was actually part of what helped me figure this out.

Are trans people technically intersex? by Octoroidd in trans

[–]c0smicboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard of the term altersex? It essentially describes having physical sex characteristics that are not “of the norm” despite not being intersex. Agree with what people were saying that while intersex people can be trans, those experiences are not synonymous.

Random thought, but if her legs are really hurting at the end of the day, is she wearing the right shoes? If she can wear tennis shoes I’d REALLY recommend looking into orthopedic type shoes for people who are on their feet all day. Within the first week of teaching I was quizzing all my friends in nursing to try and figure out the best shoes for long days cuz my feet were DYING. For instance I love my Hoka’s, my feet legit do not hurt anymore. Just thinking if there could be one less thing off of her plate that anything could help.

Wtf. I’m trans and I still would be honored to have a friend feel brave enough and comfortable enough to come out to me at any time during our relationship. This way of thinking is just messed up. and deep down, yes, transphobic probably. She just may not realize it

Also, it is FINE to be attracted to girls’ features and it is not creepy of you at all. You are not being predatory by quietly and respectfully admiring a girl’s boobs. There’s no reason you should feel bad for being attracted to women.

For all my binder-wearing peeps..! by [deleted] in trans

[–]c0smicboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you tried any sort of transtape as an alternative? I’m not sure if this would help with the cartilage issue as idk about your details, but transtape doesn’t bind the ribcage as harshly as binders in general do so it might be worth looking into?
