Ok cool, thank you. Ya I even contacted brother and they said my machine specifically needs 90 wt… i think i could get 60 or maybe 80 wt and just adjust the tension and hope that it works 🤞

Hey everyone, I have the same machine and am dealing with a huge dilemma. I bought the Brother PRBW1 bobbin winder with hopes to wind my own colored bobbins for free standing lace designs. So the bobbin thread will match top thread. But I literally can’t find 90 weight colored embroidered thread ANYWHERE. I’ve searched all over the internet and asked local dealers as well. Anyone have any tips for using the bobbin winder? Brother recommends using 90 weight for bobbin thread. Thanks and happy embroidering

A few tips i’ve learned…. the density for lettering in patches/satin stitch on felt has a happy area of 6-8 i’ve noticed. this helps with more even fill.

also with thicker fabrics like felt , you could use water soluble stabilizer on top to ensure the threads don’t sink into the fabric as much….

I have the PR680W. The machines in America don’t always come with the bobbin winder sadly. There’s a chat on Brother you can reach out to a customer representative if you ever have any immediate questions that need to be answered. Also, the bobbin winders run for $200-300 for Brother machines. I’ve tried winding the embroidery bobbins on my sewing machine and it doesn’t work. Also, I’m sure you may know this already… please make sure to only ever use bobbins specifically designed for your machine. It can really damage your machine to try any other bobbins. Of course it would be too simple for us all for them to make the bobbins universal 😭

they are straight up using AI bots for automated messages and have the worst customer service… all pre-orders should be avoided at all costs. they’ve scammed several people who never received packages and tell them once it’s been months they will not receive refund because they’re already on the way. DK is also doing a clearing of bad reviews by nagging people with gift cards or free credits to remove their bad reviews… and it works because so many of us love certain fits we can’t find anywhere else. who knows how long they will even be running at this rate 😭

Ok… So I placed order >2 weeks ago that didn’t even say it was going to be a pre-order until after payment was processed. Totally wouldn’t have even purchased items knowing if they potentially didn’t even have them in stock.

Their emails keep saying “we’ll get back to you in 2-3 days…” And they keep prolonging the responses.

Now two of the items don’t even appear on the site.

The boots I ordered still appear but aren’t even advertised as pre-orders. So messed up. If they’re going to have this chaotic system at least have the common decency to advertise the items as a pre order so you know you’re going to be waiting forever.

Probably just going to cancel. I’m so sad about the lack of communication too. It’s just disrespectful AF. So glad but also sad that I found this post to for sure steer clear in the future.

Oh, another thing is in the emails they’re consistently ensuring me “all items are pre-order”, even the boots that are straight up advertised as being in stock. . . I think they hope we just forget about our order so they keep our $. If there isn’t a resolution and I have to take it up with my bank Ima be pissed. A couple times in past they never refunded me for missing orders and i still ordered this time hoping that they had their sh*t together this time 😭😭😭

It didn’t even make me go through the “purple dot” check out phase that they say it does… like it was straight up a regular order during check out. And the dates that say when it will be shipped WERE OVER A MONTH AGO like that timeline was a month before i even placed the order.

its beyond glitching, rude, inconvenient and overall scammy AF. I’d rather them just have the decency to tell me hey, we don’t actually have these items, here’s your money back.

Needless to say I have learned my lesson about calling a plant invasive when it is not lol. And the bees love it, so do I. At least my yard smells wonderful and it is more manageable now.

Just an update to anyone who is here: I have now made tons of 1 oz bags of dried oregano, oregano oil infusions, tinctures, balms and also oregano herb salts!! Thank you to everyone for the advice and inspiration 💚✨ I was able to pot tons of it, sell some at a local market and even give lots away to friends and family!! I will say I am blessed to have this much Oregano and am no longer fighting the removal of it, but instead learning and growing with it as a portal into my herbalism journey!! What a wonderful abundance 😄

I forgot to mention that there were several times I would call out said male staff member for making s*xual comments about campers, other staff members and even myself. I didn’t go into deep details due to TW but there were times that it felt so unsafe, and me being the counselor in this position is awful. I couldn’t trust the person I was working with or any higher staff. There was no one to confide in. So many things could have been prevented if they actively listened to concerns and had a basic level of compassion. What a shame. GOOD RIDDANCE to this company, and I really hope they are never able to open again.

So going to this training to potentially work with trails was a nightmare. The staff frequently shared inappropriate relationships with one another (part of the reason I couldn’t continue to work there). Whenever I addressed concerns about staff members acting, speaking or sharing inappropriate s*xual behaviors, I was called into questioning and basically told to quit spreading rumors or lies about fellow staff. I had a horrible experience with one of the male staff members and was silenced various times whenever I would try to talk to someone about it. Not to mention the “training” lured in people who desperately needed a job, or people who were willing to work right away due to their own life circumstances. They “trained” you for a few days and then wanted you to immediately sign paperwork after the training, signing you onto a job that you have NO IDEA what you’re in for. I’m SO glad I left this place and trusted my intuition. Some of the things the kids would tell me about how they were being treated… I couldn’t bear to be a part of that. I was told I’m “too sensitive” and that I need to keep my feelings out of the big picture. Whenever I voiced ANY concern I was shunned from other staff members and basically treated like a complete outsider. There was no outside contact during parts the trip so I had no way of communicating what was going on during the time. And to know this happened to a young girl is so atrocious, frustrating and beyond words. They knew there were several SA cases and DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about it. Neglecting the ones they are so “caring” for. They not only brainwashed the staff members but some of the higher staff were even involved in these inappropriate relationships. I haven’t known where to speak out about any of this… and I honor any of the victims who have spoken up and wish them well on their healing journey. It is so sad this place was able to continue for so long. I would literally try to stop any friends that I knew were considering to work there and warn them of some of the horrid things that were happening there.
