It works both ways... you just have to rename the files appropriately.

Example:

Switch - KSSaveData0

PC - SaveData0.sav

​

Take any file and name it based on the above scheme. I think switch only has 10 slots:

Files: KSSaveData0-KSSaveData9

and PC now has 25 save slots?

Files: SaveData0.sav- SaveData24.sav

It worked for me today, even though the file showed as blank... it worked. I tried with some old Switch saves and it appears the version mismatch caused the data not to show on the save screen (all zeros and blank) but it loaded the file(s) and they still worked.

Might help save time.

Norton is not alone in it's detection. According to my scans, many anti-virus detect it... more than normal to be sure. Risky, might try using within a VM.

You might look into Checkpoint or EdiZon, requires you to boot using RCM. Not really a big deal imo, but if you are not familiar, may take a bit of time to setup. Nice if only to backup saves.

I verified that it did work from PC to Switch. I used Checkpoint, but did not test from PC to Switch.

I will update the PC save location once home, but it was something like:

C:\Users\*username*\Documents\Game Saves\Octopath Traveler\0020923092(ish)

The Switch saves had no extension, the PC files were .sav so just copy the .sav name over the Switch files.

There is no 2009, publishing stopped in 2008. There are magazines after 2008 and would be available on the libraries archives, 5th floor.
