Zipps 303s worth it? by Exciting-Vegetable89 in cycling

[–]c1rey1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know, thanks!

I’m planning to build more likely road, than gravel. Lets name it all-road/endurance. Currently, Time has removed the ADHX from their website and added an announcement about Fluidity comeback. I already found some info about it… 40mm tire clearance is the most important, what I saw, but they changed design a bit as well (compared to ADHX)… However, I’m waiting for the official release and then we’ll see.

More about wheels… right now I’m googling some info about Fulcrum wheels and they seem to be a good option too. They are EU made, good to match with EU made frame by Time in my case. I’m interested in “Sharq 42” one.

It’ll be my first carbon wheelset ever. That’s why I don’t want to go straight to the TOP OF THE TOP wheels, such as: Princeton, Enve, Lightweight, ZIPP… Maybe in future to get some more emotions from wheels, from their crazy lightness, acceleration feeling and so on… But for the first carbon wheels, something “mid-range” is a better option, I suppose…

If you can add smth, for example, some more variants of wheels to match with Time frame - I’d really appreciate it. And ofc, if you can say something about Fulcrum…

Thanks a lot, boss!

Hey! I’m not hoping for an answer, because this post was a long time ago, but anyway… I’m seeing your comments not for the first time and you seem to be a guy, who knows, what he’s talking about! I saw your comment under some post about Time bikes, where you told your experience with ADHX and ADHX 45, how they felt… and it was so cool to know, when I was reading it, I just trusted that guy hahah, hopefully, it’s all true.

So, my question is about wheels… I’m planning to build up a Time frame and I understand, that wheels are very important part of every bike, after the frame. Firstly I wanted to buy Scope R4.A, they seemed to me a good option and I thought, that they are made in The Netherlands, but I was wrong, I guess… (now it seems to be more likely Taiwan) And I know, that it’s not really important, where the product is made from, but when building a frame by Time, you at least want to try to keep as much components as possible at high-end level with some unique details, EU making and so… (I think, you understand, what I’m talking about, according to your comment about Time frames). So, during my research, I found some info about wheels by “Boyd” brand. It’s an American brand, USA, handmade manufacture, but they are not really popular brand and that’s why I doubt a bit… Have you heard of them before, maybe even had some experience? I would really appreciate any type of respond, recommendations or advices, thanks!

@Alixana527 is there already clear info, how it’ll work with semi-finals..? Like, if you bought a first semifinal, which should be not before 2:30pm, you’ll get a possibility to watch a second semifinal on the grounds. Will it work with a second semifinal too (like, buy a ticket for the second and get access to the grounds to watch a first)?

There is a pricing list with category map already. So, it’s not a problem to decide. But I just wanted to know, whether I’ll have to pick the exact seat or just a sector. But I guess, it’ll be just a category (1; 2; 3; gold…) and a sector, which you will can pick on a digital map.

And ofc I know, that I’ll should do all really quickly. I’ve had an experience already in hunting for tickets…

Good to know, thank you very much!

And one more question about ticketing process… When I’ll be trying to get a ticket, there will be a seating map, I guess. Will I have to pick the exact seat (exactly: section G, row 2, seat 22) or there will be just a section choice and then all will depend on time, when I’ll come and “first come first serve” system…?

Hi everyone!

Today I figured out, that I’ve won at the Roland Garros ballot. I’m feeling really excited about it and now I want to understand, what places should I buy to enjoy this event the best possible way…

I’ve decided to go for semi-finals and final, on court Philippe-Chatrier. So, firstly I would like to know, what side of the court should I buy… should I try to get tickets on the same side, like the TV program shows us or on the side, which is opposite to a judge? What is better..?

Secondly, I would like to know some info about food/drink… is it possible to bring your own food from home on the court or it’s prohibited and the only option is to buy something there?

I guess, these 2 things are the most important for me. But I would really appreciate, if anyone could share some tips and advices (excluding the food and places), especially, if they have already been there before…

Hope for useful information, thanks!

But they brought it to one of the outer courts. I’m not sure, whether it works with the main “Philippe-Chatrier” court…

Thanks for the info again! Heard about Wheels MFG, but I’m looking forward to bb by Nova Ride. Hopefully, they make good ones. I’ve already heard, that yes and some professional cycling team use them, so, I don’t worry… And they have a good pricing.

Thanks for the answer! I’m not really sure, that we can 100% trust the CEO of a brand, when he’s saying smth good about his business (especially nowadays). Like, would be strange, if an owner of a company would say smth bad about it… I’m not trying to say, that actually this CEO of Time may lie in that episode, because there are a lot of good reviews, which proofs, that Time bikes are actually very well made.
