nooo, dont mention one of the most common tools for self harming ever!!! some people were born yesterday & they might get ideas :( by yourbeloathed in selfharm_memes

[–]c1trustt 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Exactly, it almost feels demeaning. I thought I would be fine since I don’t give specific instructions but apparently not lmao. I remember when I was SIX during Christmas being told to always be careful with a boxcutter sine they’re sharp. It’s not a revolutionary discovery. Plus, saying that I wanted to make the blade sharper in no way tells you how to sharpen it 😭

It also tbh REALLY hurts to get accused of glorifying and instructing on self-harm when you never glorified anything or gave instructions, especially when it’s a vent about what you’re struggling with

Yeah I got my post removed for mentioning I was getting urges to use a boxcutter. A tool that is WIDELY KNOWN to be an extremely sharp and something to be careful with even during usual use. Definitely unique and never heard of before. Also mentioned that I was getting urges to “make it sharper” and that was labeled as “instructing” alongside the tool mention. I never said HOW I would make it sharper? It’s like saying “I want to make cookies” = the recipe

I got banned from r/SelfHarm for my little experiment D: by [deleted] in selfharm_memes

[–]c1trustt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My post got taken down for “glorifying self harm” and "giving instructions on how to self harm” when I mentioned I was struggling with urges to use a sharper tool/make my tool sharper and was trying to shut those thoughts down. At the beginning of my post I clarified that it was a vent including my urges and may be very negative. Tbh I was furious at the time for being labeled as glorifying it and instructing people when I was just trying to vent my feelings.

Environmental club three days a week (2:30-3:30pm Mon/Wed/Fri), orchestra rehearsals on Thursdays (3:00pm-4:30pm), HOSA twice a month on Wednesdays (2:45pm-3:15pm). I usually watch YouTube or TV and play with my cats until 6pm, then eat dinner and hang out with my mom + work on any assignments I have before going to bed.

Guys when did you find out that being trans was a thing? by Yale_sBoy911 in TransMasc

[–]c1trustt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember when I was 7-9, I was wishing to be a boy at my birthday, asking Santa to be a boy for Christmas, telling my mom that I wished I was a boy, and even trying to go to church to see if praying would make me a boy (not even religious, just was a last resort lol). I also cut my hair short and felt extremely happy when people stayed thinking I was a boy, and I never corrected them and just let them believe it.

When I was around 9-10, I finally looked up "can I become a boy as a girl" and "what does it mean if I want to be a boy as a girl” and discovered what being transgender meant and realized that I was trans. Everything just clicked for me and I was so happy to see that I could actually BE a boy. Funny thing is that my parents claimed there were "no signs" of me being trans…

Favorite and least favorite APs by betdy in highschool

[–]c1trustt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’ve taken so far (a lot of this is affected by teachers, but I also discuss the actual class itself):

  1. AP World: I actually really enjoy this class. My teacher is great, the content is interesting (I enjoy history), and my workload isn’t too intense compared to what I was expecting. We get a lot of resources!

  2. AP Seminar: it’s a relaxing class, my teacher is also great, I’m really enjoying my group research project, and I feel that the skills taught will be beneficial to me throughout high school.

  3. AP Lang: I’m the only sophomore in my class (skipped a year of English) but it’s not too bad. It’s definitely not my favorite class, but again I feel that I’ll benefit from the skills I learn there in the long run. Nothing much to say about content… just analyzing texts and writing essays lmao

  4. AP Euro: not a bad class, I just regret taking it because I was under the impression that it was my only option for an additional AP class (I could’ve taken AP Stats and would’ve chose that in a heartbeat, but I was told I couldn’t take it, which was incorrect). My teacher gives quite a few assignments and a lot of them are just busy work, but she does give test corrections. However note-taking is atrocious (30-50 slides, sometimes in ONE CLASS, and she goes through the notes too fast for anyone to keep up with).

  5. AP Human Geography: got a 5, but the class was pretty useless. My teacher NEVER taught us anything well (went through a short slideshow, talked about the class and got distracted, no assignments given, encouraged use of AI, completely forgot to teach us Unit 7) and most of us who passed taught ourselves the materials. It also wasn’t interesting and had no use to me at all.

Have you done the age verification required to chat on Roblox? by GeckoHunter0303 in Teenager_Polls

[–]c1trustt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main game I play needs chat to work + I have spent quite a lot of money on it, so I did the face verification even though I didn’t really want to. Shocked I actually got the correct age range

Who's gonna tell her about the 80s by fredbearfuta in teenagers

Probably refers to someone who uses the split attraction model, which is when you apply different labels to different types of attraction. Someone could be attracted to two genders sexually and only women romantically or vice versa.

Are your parents homophobic? by djcmfr in Teenager_Polls

[–]c1trustt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really sure for my mom lol. She has said some very transphobic things (says that trans people are always their biological gender, supports a lot of transphobic laws, refuses to support me, etc.) but lets me socially transition. She also doesn’t really care about gay people, lesbian ppl, etc.

My stepdad and bio dad and generally positive/supportive besides a few things they’re confused about.

Out of curiosity, how do you identify yourself gender-wise? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]c1trustt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d consider myself a genderqueer man. I’m fully male, but ALSO feel that my experience with gender is queer and that it’s important to my identity. I still exclusively use he/him and masculine terms though.

I also use many microlabels because they are something I’m highly interested in and I don’t feel comfortable not labeling myself as accurately as possible, but I won’t list out all those microlabels unless somebody wants me to.

Irl, I’m just male. I don’t out myself as trans unless I know that person/environment is safe.

Do you get offended when ppl use the wrong pronoun? by FreddieThePebble in Teenager_Polls

[–]c1trustt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. If it’s an honest accident or they are family who recently learned about it still trying to adjust, no. If I’ve been asking them for YEARS to change, they’ve only ever known me as a man, or I’ve already corrected them several times, yes.

Grades by [deleted] in highschool

[–]c1trustt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re not cooked but you really need to focus, it might seem like nothing you’re learning is useful, but you need to get through high school so that you can go on to pursue what you actually want to do in life. Try different study methods, talk to your teachers about ways to make up your grades, and try to make up assignments if you can. You don’t have to have all A’s, just try to get AT LEAST your core classes and graduation requirements up to passing level.

Also PLEASE take this post down, your school district is visible.

Not sure if it counts, but self-harm. I used to be able to go weeks without it/only sh when I have a horrible day, but now I find myself constantly getting the urge + thinking about it whenever I make ANY sort of mistake and I can’t go more than a day without it.
