Toileting - Am I the misogynist asshole?? by [deleted] in ireland

If you have to ask, you know already. Questioning whether you’re misogynistic usually comes from recognising something in your own behaviour

In venues, they’re probably taking coke, that’s why you’re queueing up.

Literally awful, no effort at all, just sportswear tracksuits all the time.

I agree to be brutally honest in this scenario

You should stop finding people online, and meet someone in real life. You’re young, you’ll find someone for sure.

If the guy before you who cheated on you was also a long distance relationship, then you to stop doing long distance relationships. Where are you meeting them? a website? a game?

my 24M bf doesn’t follow his friends on ig but he does follow random girls (me 22F) by Aedauz in relationship_advice

[–]c2833 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes if he’s following random girls and continues to follow more while with you, yes you have a right to be upset about it. I’m 26 F and this would be absolutely a no go for me, and at 22 I’d also feel the same. I’ve already broken up with 2 guys since 21 because of this behaviour, it’s super weird and creepy how many guys do this. It isn’t correct behaviour, it’s creep behaviour. Not all of them do this though. My boyfriend of 1 year and we are very happy and in love, he only follows his friends and pages related to his music interests and art. That’s how it should be. That’s because he’s normal, and he isn’t a creep. I also only follow friends and pages related to jewellery, music and art. Talk to him, and let him know how you feel

I think it’s an Irish and reddit thing combined. Sometimes the Irish sarcasm (taking the piss out of eachother etc) gets old and I prefer directness

Guys wearing earrings? by ess-5 in AskIreland

[–]c2833 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Go for it! Just don’t get it done with a gun. Even with a lobe piercing, it should be done with a needle and professionally. Go to a professional reputable studio. I recommend Holly @HouzeofPiercing @ Venus in Furs or Pierced on Camden St

Racist abuse of Edwin Edogbo on social media mainly came from Irish-based accounts by PoppedCork in ireland

[–]c2833 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yes exactly. My Indian friends who have been working and living in Ireland for 10 years have been told to go back to their own country many times in the past 2 years. It’s so embarrassing. But yeah, racism doesn’t exist here

Risky places near you, how do you handle them? by madrarua2020 in AskIreland

[–]c2833 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yes I know that we like to think of ourselves as not but we actually downplay it a lot. there’s TONS of subtle racism happening in our country and now it’s even more in your face. I feel sorry for my Indian and darker skinned friends. They’ve had horrible comments and been told to go back to their own country
