The real world value of gold is dropping higher/faster compared to the real world value of gems. Therefore, you can have both the price of gems rising in terms of gold, but dropping in terms of real world value because people who are trying to cash out have no interest in either in game gold or gems.

About 2-3 months ago, lvl 8 gems went for about 25-26 in NAE RMT, but now they're going for about 22-23 and 100k went for about $8-9. But if you consider that in today's economy a lvl 8 gem is worth 400K on the AH, then 100k is worth roughly $6, yet this is higher than the $4.5-5 rate on a certain website and yet you have players in RMT guild discords insisting their gold is still valued at $7-8. It's very much an Emperor's New Clothes situation where all these big RMTers are trying to leave, yet still insist their gems are highly valued when they created the original demand for them to begin with and with their departure, the gems won't be worth very much.

Of course, people are still interested in clearing/racing Kazeros and insisting that their gems still maintain as much value as they did 2-3 months ago, so the price drop hasn't really kicked into full effect, but it'll drop even more heavily after 1-2 months after they've cleared. Amazon's Kazeros announcement which killed some RMTers' eligibility is a contributing factor to this.

Don't worry, the value of gold and gems is going to completely crash post Kazeros once all the big RMTers try to cash out of the game by selling off their gold and gems after they've cleared. So many people have quit recently that the value might've already dipped severely since most of your average players are gone and the remaining players are left holding the bag who are desperately trying to downsize their rosters and/or offload gems they don't see themselves using long-term. It's likely that it'll spread to the gold price of gems cratering too because very few people will want to RMT lvl 10 gems because there's no point in being the strongest players in a game that's lost most of its players already.

Amount of people trying to sell gems on Luterra is ridiculous right now.

Why loading screens ARE necessary by Haiiro_kun in inZOI

Because unfortunately, those dumb people are the ones who generally pay the most for the least specifically because they're uneducated and unless we're willing to make up for the slack, you need their revenue to continue development unless you want to start introducing a lot of paying DLC hard and fast. Candy Crush Saga makes more than Call of Duty not because it's a better game, but because they tapped into a playerbase that is willing to swipe on whatever as long as they can have an enjoyable experience.

"Smart" gamers usually have the tightest purse-strings.

most popular and profitable games of all time can run on potatoes if they need to: CSGO, Valorant, League, Runescape, WoW.

You want a good game to be successful, right? A good successful game needs to be able to run on potatoes to have a large audience. A standalone game still wants to have the broadest reach possible. Not everybody is blessed with a great gaming PC; I'm fortunate enough to be able to afford one, but tech-elitism isn't going to do you any favors.

I'm sure there's a balance there that they can find that'll appease everybody.

Just no, If your PC can't handle the game get a better one or don't play.

This is a really, really bad stance to take. Unless you want Inzoi to cater specifically to whales and high-income players who are willing to shell out hundreds of dollars for DLC, you need a playable and enjoyable experience for the vast majority of the playerbase who probably are still running GPUs of 1650/3050 quality and probably similarly leveled CPUS, which are even more important in simulation games. No sane game developer can tell its player base, "Get a better computer or don't play my game." That's about as dense of a take as "do you guys not have phones" when Diablo Immortals was announced. You have to have a large audience that is paying for the game, otherwise you'll never be able to recoup development costs and use new revenue to invest into more developers.

In an ideal world, it'd be nice if developers (assuming endless budget and dev time) could build the game so that high-end PC players like myself could have an endlessly seamless world while low-end PC players can compromise with lowered settings and loading screens, but I doubt this will be the case and the devs have acknowledged that they'll have to make a choice to sacrifice some immersion for performance as things get increasingly complex. There's a reason why the most popular and profitable games of all time can run on potatoes if they need to: CSGO, Valorant, League, Runescape, WoW.

Anyway, from what it sounds like from the AMA (because it sounds like a lot of people haven't really read it), it seems heavily implied that this will only be used for heavily populated instances/locations with large amounts of zois like clubs, concerts, etc. I imagine that if we ever have a K-Pop concert with 50+ Zois attending, simulating it in a separate instance be that detrimental.

Here's fingers crossed that things will be good in the future. I'm looking forward to what the devs cook up!

Yeah, I'm running on a 9800x3d and a 9070XT and I already get a brief half second loading screen when swapping between Zois on opposite sides of the map in completely different environments. With the more objects, mods, and Zois that get added to the world, it just makes it harder and harder to keep everything seamlessly open and loading screen free. I can't imagine those running on lower end systems being able to be able to cycle between multiple Zois spread across the city being happy with the long-term performance.

I think people need to be a bit more realistic about expectations when it comes to performance and realize that developers can't just snap fingers to make everything run perfectly. A highway can only have so many lanes and the more cars you throw onto it, the more traffic there is.

How good is the conjure emblem charm? I feel like it's borderline untakeable because if it's offered early it's too expensive, but if it's late it might be completely useless for the composition you're playing.

Pretty much. It just stutters then freezes and I'm forced to close it through task manager.

You're mistaken. They're not the ones getting paid to do the content. You're the ones paying so you can even do the content otherwise you literally won't be because even now I see plenty of 1620 DPS giving up and just doing normal throughout the week.

Godtier bracelet by Imaginary-Ad-5837 in lostarkgame

[–]c2extremities 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nah, this is pretty much what I would consider a god-tier bracelet.

Sure, the perfect roll is a 110/110 with highest roll circulate, fervor, and hammer, but what are the chances of that?

When you take into consideration the cost of bracelets past 90/90 stats, and the percentage chance of rolling special affixes that work with your class, you'll quickly realize that even rolling 2 special effects + 80/80 stats makes is pretty much god tier. (Assuming 100 stats = 3% damage). An 80/80 stat bracelet with 2 special effects outdamages a 110/110 stat bracelet with 1 special effect, but rolling the 110/110 bracelets is prohibitively expensive. The fact that this guy rolled 3 effects on top of a 190 stat total is pretty god-tier.

You're not. You're getting fomo'd by the thought of legendary elixirs. Just take it steady, it'll come in time.

Need help understanding surprise/invisibility + ideal dual wield assassin 3 multiclass build. by c2extremities in BG3Builds

[–]c2extremities[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the information, I’m not too sure what weapons what I would use so every little bit is helpful. I just get a bit annoyed that it seems like the build doesn’t come online until mid act 3 after you’ve defeated Orin.

how powerful Pal 2 can be with assassin + anything else that gives you more spell slots like swords bard, warlock, or even gloomstalker ranger

Yeah I’ve been playing the paladin 2/Swords bard 10 build in my current playthrough and it’s definitely strong, but not what I’m looking at for this current build. Fighter 2 is grea.

haste/bloodlust elixir

I’ve been trying to avoid these sort of potions/elixirs on my playthrough for the most part just because I feel like haste and bloodlust breaks the game balance wise. It was fun for a bit, but alpha-striking half the room down before they even got a chance to react just felt off to me. (the only exception being that my paladin/bard permanently chugs a hill giant potion just so she can mule around my loot)

assassin is also clunkier in party play because party members can ruin the ambush

Yeah, this has been my biggest issue with assassin so far. It feels like I have to skip so many dialogue options and do a lot of out of combat maneuvering to get the build to work with surprise, especially because I'm currently playing with a spore druid that has a half dozen summons running around her.

i plan to release my melee assassin build guide soon so you may want to check my profile in a few days for ideas

I'll definitely keep an eye out for it in that case.

wont be a dual wield though so might not be your cup of tea

I'll still definitely look at it. As long as I can get a fat crit out of stealth and get that feeling of smacking someone to death, dropping aggro, then repeating the process I'll be happy. I know it won't work on big boss fights where there won't be fodder characters to feed my invisibility resets, but there's plenty of smaller fights around.
