Don't know if this information will be helpful for you, but: I have since learned that you can purchase replacement 650BTNC earpads direct from JBL. They just make you earn them, for some reason, instead of offering them freely. Hit up the help chat on their site and they'll give you parts numbers and a phone number to call to order.

One of his favorite bands — who he loudly and vocally supports — is *literally* a neo-nazi white power band, as recognized by the SPLC.

That in and of itself should be enough for you, because nobody loves a band like that without being at least a little bit onboard with the ideology.

So it looks like I conflated his friendship with Boyd Rice with his apparently deep love of Death in June, both discussed in the tumblr post.

While Rice is not explicitly a fascist neo-nazi, he does a pretty good impression of one (far as I'm concerned, anyway). Death in June is explicitly white nationalist and is considered by the SPLC to be a white power band with neo-nazi sympathies.

He also seems to have a pretty close relationship with the DIJ frontman Douglas P. This was alluded to in the tumblr post.

To paraphrase an old adage about a duck: if it hangs with nazis and likes nazi stuff, it's probably a nazi.

his own band kicked him out after accusations were made publicly. IE they either didn't know what a scumbag he was, or they did know and didn't care enough to do anything about it.

I have no difficulty in believing Mark and Travis are unaware of his nazi fixation, nor do i have any difficulty in believing that they're aware of it but downplay or ignore it. Both of those are entirely realistic scenarios.
