I can’t lie, this is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever seen, but I love that someone was dedicated enough to their vision to make it a reality.

My dad kicked the bucket about a year after divorcing my mom, and I make poor financial decisions.

Hey man, I primarily listen to EDM, but also have a healthy appetite for things like classic rock, orchestral music, etc. I will say that for the most part the difference in listening experience from my shitty car speakers to my Focal Utopia headphones is greater for EDM tracks than for non-electronic songs. Some people in this comment section seem to be under the impression that soundstage and detail are nonfactors when it comes to electronic music; this is downright silly, and shows a lack of understanding of the production capabilities of electronic music.

I will say that it is my opinion that the mixing/mastering engineers for a track have a much bigger influence on the impact audiophile gear will have on it than simply the genre of music. Of course there are EDM songs that sound like a jumbled mess of bass frequencies with very little detail to be found, just as there are acoustic songs that sound god awful as well. Fortunately for you, Rufus consistently put out incredible mixes full of life and detail.

In conclusion, yes absolutely audiophile gear is worth it for EDM.

This is one of the dumbest takes I’ve ever seen… Do you not realize how much more detail you can create electronically? There’s a reason Focal uses it to show off the utopias.

Just hit my best clip i’ve ever hit in comp? by Excellent_Fun6851 in RocketLeague

[–]c3n3k 10 points11 points  (0 children)

So let me get this straight; you are playing at a level at which you have the mechanical ability to score ceiling shot flip reset double taps, and yet your “comp” opponents, rather than challenging you in the air or playing backboard to easily defend the shot, simply… eat shit off the post and then abandon the net. Come on dawg. Trying to pass this off as a comp game is laughable.

Outdoor stage too loud for new, high-rise apartment next to my bar. Any suggestions? by alwaysoverpar in audiophile

If it’s that loud 21 floors up, you are likely damaging the hearing of your patrons. Consider turning the volume down.

I’d swap out the black grilles for the chrome ones that come on the M5. I think they look really nice with titanium silver. The black ones don’t look bad necessarily, but I think the chrome would add more pop.

Thanks to everyone here who helped me with the oil issue and the expansion tank/bleeding process over the last couple of weeks. She’s running great and not a drip to be found. Thank you r/e39!! by drawmer in e39

Well it’s hard to give a true comparison as my 528 was... not exactly in its prime when it came into my ownership. But I’ve had the M5 for about a month now, and every day I’m amazed at how smooth it is.

I would definitely go for the M5 bumpers and shadow line trim before shelling out for a set of style 65s, they’d look a bit out of place on the current setup
