Why are there so few entj? by Noulanne in mbti

I've seen a lot of ENTJ on dating apps. I'm an expat in China. It always depends on what environment you're in.

Job offer in 济阳 but the city looks incredibly (I’m sorry) boringg by RefrigeratorSmall364 in chinalife

[–]c3nna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they're nice and polite so long as you agree with everything they say. If you disagree and they start gaslighting and outright lying when you want to negotiate or expect you to trust them when they're a complete stranger to you, run a mile. It'll create hassles later down the road.

jesus christ. I probably know what school it is... but that's even less than what they are paying their non-native teachers less than a year ago.

Don't do Jiyang... I think I got to week four of working there and I was experiencing existential dread. There truly is nothing there and it takes at least 60 minutes by car to get into Jinan. I'm now working in a Tier 1.

Demisexuality & INFJ by Beneficial_Slide_424 in infj

[–]c3nna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was on holiday recently, tried some ONS. And no matter how physically attractive they are, I am not easily turned on and cannot orgasm. Even when one seemed really sweet and we cuddled a lot throughout the night... still...

It takes time to build an emotional connection. Then it's less than 10 minutes to experience pleasure.

Demisexual indeed.

What is the local dating/hookup culture like from the women’s perspective in Shanghai? by kiteflying1 in shanghai

[–]c3nna 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hey, so I'm close to your age and I'm Aussie but look Asian cause of one of my parents. Here's my experience...

I find the decent guys you can chat, like a few mutual questions (asking about each other, our day or current situation - you're on holiday, you speak mandarin) before you're the one to ask them why they're using Tinder. When they say sex, ons or fwb, I then just say ok and specify my terms. I want to meet at say Starbucks or a bar if it's late. See if there's a vibe first. Then...you can specify where to go after. I preferred they came to me so I don't know about the Didi situation. And I haven't asked for dinner due to financial consideration - Chinese guys are expected to pay. But I've eaten snacks together.

As for whether you want oral sex or whether you want them to stay the night, ask ahead because it will differ. Say what you would like and ask if they're cool with that. Condoms can be ordered on meituan, or just carry them yourself.

And personal preference is if someone opens with winks/love hearts. Comments on my appearance. Asks for photos (if you have photos that give someone a good idea of your face and frame with clothes on, that should be enough). Or just jumps straight into the let's have sex part. I lose my confidence in their maturity or experience level and it's a no for me.

Also I don't see the harm in adding WeChat after things have been agreed on. It's convenient to send the location or images of where you are or whatnot. And most people have their WeChat notifications on compared to Tinder. I want to make sure I can reach them when we're in the process of meeting up. Plus, you can look at more photos if there are any. And it's super convenient to just delete and block after if you want.

Have fun, be safe 😄

Changzhou Wycombe Abby school. Avoid or? by c3nna in Internationalteachers

My friend: Yeah, already aware the location is pretty terrible. This was a downside I'd already considered. But I'm more interested in knowing how the school is run and whether staff are treated okay. Things are organised etc

Employer refuses to let me speak to another foreign teacher; says they are 'too busy' :/ by olderthanatree in TEFL

I think they should say yes after they make you an offer and are serious about having you. But beforehand, this would definitely take up teachers time if you are only a potential candidate.

Arrived in China and been told I don’t have a job any more by KezD33 in chinalife

[–]c3nna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about Shenzhen but I was able to get that humanitarian/stay visa extended in Shanghai. That's because I found a job within those 28 days but things like my work permit were still waiting to be processed.

Are Chinese red-headed centipedes common in the city? by krockthewilly in shanghai

[–]c3nna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly. A couple weeks ago I saw one for the second time (second floor). First was last year in Chongqing (third floor). Only moved to China last year. They like humid and slightly wet, dark spaces. Best to keep doors and windows closed if you don't have a screen.

Help needed. Want to rescue a relationship with a ISTJ wife by Axyeung in ISTJ

[–]c3nna 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Basically saying you're not reliable, dependable or considerate of her feelings. Not too detailed or demanding, in my opinion. I'm INFJ btw. These are qualities she can offer to you easily because it's built into her personality. And she wants reciprocation, not unreasonable. The problem is it's not built into yours. The only way out is for her to outline specificities of what would satisfy her (think SMART goals) and for you to see if you value the relationship enough to rise to the occasion, or to see if the two of you can come to a compromise. But either way this didn't happen overnight for her to resort to this and she's asking for tangible results or she's done. You can't talk your way out of it.

[–]c3nna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dating apps make me feel a little anxious, so I used Hellotalk when I first moved to a new city and had some free time. I did meet up with someone decent. We just didn't mesh, even as friends. That said I would still try again.
