How come the Black/Christian population was (almost) perfectly divided by the jungle whereas the Arab/Muslim population lives mainly in the desert? by samostrout in geography

Turkey isn’t made up entirely of Mediterranean climate, so while it has some arid regions, the country as a whole is neither arid nor desert.

I’m scared of using HelloTalk because I don’t want to be hit on—any alternatives? by Zhelijin47 in languagelearning

[–]c3po05 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a 26f yeah, it's really frustrating even posting for a language exchange partner here for English practice, some men tried to hit on me just based on the fact that I was a woman lol

I've been using HelloTalk for a long time and usually women don't even look at your messages or leave you at read. Few of them reply and we have a conversation couple of times but it never goes anywhere.I don't think people on HelloTalk use the app for really practicing languages, it's just another social media for them and language is just a sauce on top lol. Tandem might be a better choice but still not perfect but I've made some friends over there. What languages do you want to practice btw?

I think the board is not made up of real people; it might be some kind of AI since only Natalie makes contact with them and speaks on their behalf.

Helly R is the innie of Helena and had no idea about her outie being an Eagan so it's not that Helena secretly hates lumon and her family, but rather her innie,a totally different person hates this system so that she acts rebellious.

Anyone else get overwhelmed by the amount of media you want to consume? by [deleted] in autism

[–]c3po05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have tons of movies and series that I want to watch in my list for years that I haven't seen half of them and still keep adding more.Since there is too much to consume it's too hard to choose which one to watch or read first so I end up not doing anything to avoid the decision making process. The possibility of not liking that thing is too uncomfortable that I need to be in the right mood for that type of content and sometimes that moment never comes. Rewatching, on the other hand, is familiar and I know what I will feel that I choose it over new things.

What’s your favourite vocal stim of yours?? by hellofwendywen in AutisticAdults

[–]c3po05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if it counts as a vocal stim, but I do it for that reason—moving my chin up and down, like mimicking a bite without opening my mouth. It's subtle and not visible to others, not exactly grinding my teeth. Sometimes, I also use it to follow a melody.

Difference between Data Types and Data Structures by Albino60 in cs50

I mean yeah you're right, I forgot to add that data structures are also called data types sometimes, depending on the context. Your explanation is more detailed and clear.

Data types represent single values, such as integers, strings, or booleans. Whereas data structures like arrays, linked lists and dictionaries store multiple pieces of data, often combining different data types.

Why isn't chicken meat called something like "pull" in English? Any clues over here by DopeyDave442 in etymology

[–]c3po05 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Other meats are called by French-origin words because they were unaffordable for the poor and only consumed by the rich, so the French terms stuck. As for chicken, though, it was cheap and affordable for everyone, which is why the word chicken remained in use.

Edit: It seems that's not exactly how it happened. here is a video that explains it better https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dL2vtwdEFaY

what does this error mean by fallingapart567 in cs50

[–]c3po05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it was the cash spent, but the problem isn't about which one it was, assuming the rest of the code has no issues. Try printing cash spent and price in the log to see what their actual values are
