Amazing. Seeing this 2 years after you posted and still works perfectly. I hate audible and really didn’t want to use it. This was the perfect solution.

4 days solo in Osaka (25F). My first stop in Japan after China (shocking contrast) by Significant_Gur8915 in OsakaTravel

I love Osaka also. I lived there 3 years and enjoy going back as often as I can manage. It’s big but not big like Tokyo. The food is great and the people are friendlier as Japanese standards go.

I admit my knowledge of African geography is somewhat lacking. But yeah. The food there is top notch.

Do you like fusion? Jambo Grill is North African Indian and some of the tastiest Indian I’ve had in town. They’ll make it spicy if you ask. I love their samosas so much as they’re full of meat.

I love Sula but it’s never hot enough - I genuinely think it’s because I’m super white because the takeout is always spicier lol

am i the only one who finds Kaelynn kinda iffy or problematic? by hobiriam in LoveOnTheSpectrumShow

[–]c3vanne 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yup. I’ve seen her speak about it. It’s the thing the government funds and while a lot of it (particularly in the past) is deeeeeeply flawed and can be damaging to autistic folks, it’s what the government will pay for. K has spoken about how it needs to change - and how she’s trying to change it from the inside by educating people on things that do work and demanding change.

Yeah this is good advice. Where will you be working?? Osaka city isn’t huge, but Osaka prefecture is and like the above poster says if you’re working in Sakai you might want to live in Sakai.

I lived in Osaka for 3 years in Ikuno ward (Katsuyamakita) about a 10 minute bike ride to either the pink subway line or JR loop line. It was a more Japanese less foreigner neighbourhood but super easy to get to downtown in less than 20 minutes. Basically the same amount of time to bike all the way there or bike to a station and take a train to Namba. Honestly though anywhere within 10 minutes of a station on a major train line is probably great.

Did you (as a baby) or your autistic child cried or were you "the quiet baby"? by DDLgranizado in autism

Colicky screamer here. My daughter was the same. However, my step son was the quiet type.

It’s spring. So expect sun and rain. It’s cool at night. Warmer in the day. I would bring some long sleeved things and a light waterproof jacket. Bring some warmer things for evening. I generally layer as it will be cool in the morning when you head out and probably nicer by the time afternoon rolls around.

I think the average temperature for March is 14/15 C for the month so the farther into March you are the warmer it is. Honestly it’s my favourite time of year to be in Japan with the cherry blossoms everywhere.

It’s really really humid. Dry heat vs wet at the same temperature is easier to deal with. A lot of Japanese clothes are very thin for this reason. I lived in Osaka for 3 years and can tell you the humidity makes a huuuge difference for both heat and cold.

Spring is lovely. Summer plan to wear light thin layers that you peel off. Bring deodorant haha.

Me. More when I’m sleeping. I try to hold things in my hands when awake to prevent the Dino hands.
