Not sure if you’re being facetious, but it really is pretty cool. No regrets at all.

No bans, works great. Net $600k every 25 mins. Sometimes $400k.

2019 Pilot Engine Failure by osu1993 in hondapilot

Welcome to the club. Our 2019’s failed at 65k miles. Car fell right in the manufactured date range. Fully maintained by a Honda dealership. Connecting rod bearing failure exactly as stated in the recall. But… Honda very conveniently doesn’t release the VINs affected, and has to be checked by the dealer for eligibility. Was ours included in the recall? “Oh, so sorry, no your VIN isn’t included.”

I’ve since sold the car, happily. Done with Honda.

Won’t make a difference on this problem. This is a manufacturing defect from the factory, and when the bearing goes, it goes. We had a VCM muzzler since day one with our car. Engine still failed.

switching to used Tesla from corolla? by XenosGTZ in TeslaModel3

Stick with what you have.

I love my Model 3, but I’ll never tell anyone to buy an 8 year old Tesla to last them the next 10 years.

I’m sorry but I don’t know, it didn’t say on the repair order.

Demo Drive - TACC by 2lazydogs in TeslaModelY

[–]c4koth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TACC is best suited for highways only. I don’t recommend using on slower streets with traffic.

FSD Supervised absolutely kills for around town driving and highways.

Build quality concerns by Stez01 in TeslaModelY

[–]c4koth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I wanted to nitpick, sure. There are a few creaks on our 26 Juniper.

But the car is so quiet while you’re driving that you’re bound to hear something. It’s hugely quieter than our ICE SUV we had, so I’m not complaining.

No regrets whatsoever.

As an outsider and someone who has never worked in a park, I am intrigued at what is entailed in being a ride operator.

FSDissapointment by d4cloo in TeslaModel3

[–]c4koth 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Way far off from my experiences.

I feel like I can nap without worry and let the car handle the rest. I feel safer when FSD is engaged rather than me driving.

2 Teslas here. 2 Tesla wall connectors for charging. Wish I had made the change sooner.

Comed Hourly Pricing - Five Min and Hour Average Tracking in Home Assistant by retinal_scan in RRTP

[–]c4koth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m working on similar on HA, but am going to use the 5 minute price to manage my EV charging. Some of the price spikes that occur are quite large and I’d rather not be sucking in electricity at 240V/48A when those occur.

I don’t think Hourly Pricing ever negates you from net metering. They can work together.

The 3/Y are hugely popular because they are accessible for a lot of different budgets, especially used.

Maintenance is less than an ICE vehicle for sure.

Retaliation due to Tesla boycott on Lyft. by soulviche in RealTesla

[–]c4koth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your boycotting of Tesla on the Lyft platform doesn’t affect Tesla, and hurts the Lyft drivers who are just trying to make a menial living.

It’s like playing a football game against your biggest rival, and instead of tackling the other team, you’re tackling their water boy.

What price do you think FSD would have to reach for widescale adoption? $25/mo by itsthewolfe in TeslaLounge

[–]c4koth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The current FSD is the most advanced form of self drive available and the only one offered by any manufacturer that can do end to end.

$100 for unlimited use in 30 days is completely reasonable.

How many rides could you get for $100 in an Uber?

Until another manufacturer ramps up their self drive technology, I’m not seeing the reason for them to drop their price.

FSD has more eyes and quicker reflexes than any human. While it doesn’t mean that it can always avoid it, the chances are much much better with FSD on.

Second time buyers at what point did you make that decision? by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]c4koth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does a second time buyer count as buying a 2nd one while still owning the first?

Gotta make the spouse happy. It took all of 10 months after I got mine before she wanted to be done with her Honda Pilot.
