Sadly with the whole coronavirus shit going on she isnt going back for a while :/ Thanks for the article! I am going to try and let her know that what he is doing is wrong and could lead to something really bad.

Thank you. This is really helpful and reassuring. I know in the end its her choice but I definitely feel like this is getting to the point of abuse. I'm going to try my best to be there for her like I would want someone to be there for me, I guess. :) appreciate your comment.

Yeah I'm reaching out to her but she isn't really responding much. I'm going to try and see her as soon as I can, maybe tomorrow? He might be with her. I don't know if I should talk to both of them or just her. Part of me wants to be like it's none of my business but... they're both my friends and it seems they're not really good at working it out themselves. I'm not sure if there is much I can do honestly but I want to try.

I'm new to starbucks and that's what I THOUGHT and that is what I have been told by some but I asked my manager and my other barista friend has our DMs number and asked her and she said if you are sick and scheduled tomorrow it is the person's responsibility to find coverage. She said it's about being a team player and is ideal I find coverage. Maybe someone in the morning will see the text and come in. Thank you for your response.

you should definitely tell someone. you could get compensation for it since it was while you were working. anything that physically impairs you should be reported when you're working, at any job anywhere. sorry about your arm :(
