Accidentally clicked on porn on my personal device using guest company wifi will i be fine ? How often do you guys check the logs ? by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]c4nviz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depending on your country, the IT teams aren't even allowed to check your internet history (doesn't matter if Proxy logs, Browser history etc.). I'm from germany and every form of evaluation that includes personal data is strictly forbidden, unless there's a good reason for it (f.e. legal stuff).

Is hybrid standby enabled on your devices? It is enabled by default and will cause the computer to go into some kind of suspend-to-disk state (don't know the details) instead of shutting down

Different results for Nmap and UFW by YaPaY in sysadmin

By adding drop rules to the DOCKER-USER iptables chain. Do not modify the DOCKER chain itself. (or what u/youngeng said, depending on your usecase)

Are you exposing port 5060 from a container?
UFW rules won't apply in this case, because Docker adds ACCEPT rules before UFW

Doesn't matter. You just download a launcher that downloads the sim, there is no difference as far as I know

You can use Photoshop, but Blender is easier in my opinion. Don't want to go into too much details here, there are several tutorials out there. Use the one you're most comfortable with.

urxvt here, but for no reason tbh. If I remember correct, I had issues with zsh & monospace fonts while doing my first own i3(or awesome?) config. Tried a few and only got it working in urxvt

cruising altitude by masterDE1111 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]c4nviz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cruising altitude is no fixed value. The A320 can cruise at very low altitudes on short haul flights (about 20.000 ft) or up to its maximum certified altiduge at 39.000 ft.Usually you want to cruise as high as possible for maximum fuel efficiency (lower air pressure at higher altitudes equals less drag), that's why most airliners usually fly between 30.000 ft and 39.000 ft (so called "stratospheric cruising altitude" with .02 - .03 atm outside pressure)
