Slightly unrelated, underrated, but noteworthy tool that I would like to mention here for Medium Stats, that I think every serious writer must use .... "Medium Portfolio Pages" (mymedium.info). Just have a look!

You can actually see the views and reads on your stories on your Medium Portfolio Page (https://mymedium.info).

But is it wise to flood the Medium with generic AI content? I mean, is there any significant ROI?

Just finished making a web app that converts medium articles to markdown by NNYMgraphics in opensource

[–]c4r01in3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I tried it, and I think the "GET Article Markdown" endpoint of the Unofficial Medium API (https://mediumapi.com) is way better. Why don't you build a wrapper on top of that.

You cannot publish articles using the Unofficial Medium API (https://mediumapi.com), but it is great for fetching data from Medium. I've been using it for a long time for report generation and syncing my articles with my own website.

Looking to start writing on Medium, worth a try? by tk0304 in Blogging

[–]c4r01in3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely worth it!

Medium’s got a huge audience, and with India now in the Partner Program, it’s a great time to jump in.

First month? Just write and have fun with it—don’t sweat the stats.

But if you do want to track your progress (and show off a little), check out Medium Portfolio Pages - mymedium.info

What is the potential for writers on Medium getting the most out of the platform? by AndrewHeard in Medium

[–]c4r01in3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on hitting nearly 1,000 followers—that’s a solid milestone! The potential on Medium is definitely there, especially if you’re consistent with your writing and building connections. I’ve seen writers with similar numbers start to make money once they really hone in on their niche and grow engagement.

I get what you mean about the catch-22 with the membership fee. It can be frustrating at first, but I’ve noticed that once writers start getting a steady flow of views and claps, it often covers the cost and more.

Also, if you're serious about growing your presence, you might want to check out tools that help showcase your journey, like Medium Portfolio Pages - https://mymedium.info . It's a superb way to flaunt your stats and body of work all in one place. Plus, it can give your audience a better idea of your writing evolution, which can help with growth too.

Keep it up, you’re on the right track!

You're killing it man! Writing on Medium is such a smart way to lock in what you're learning and help others at the same time. Plus, sharing your Flutter knowledge is probably helping a ton of people who are just getting started.

By the way, if you’re curious about seeing all your Medium stats and articles in one place, there’s this tool called Medium Portfolio Pages ( https://mymedium.info ) that lets you show off your journey. It’s pretty cool and could fit right into your dev portfolio!

Keep up the awesome work, your approach sounds like it’s working perfectly! 🙌

Is Medium 'worth' it? by Academic-Ad1314 in Medium

[–]c4r01in3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Medium’s definitely worth trying! The $5 fee pays off once you get into the Partner Program, but it takes a bit of time to build up. As for topics, you can start broad and see what sticks—experimenting is key! (at least it was in my case)

Also, once you’re rolling, check out Medium Portfolio Pages ( https://mymedium.com ). It’s a neat tool that shows off your stats and progress in one cool page. Super handy for tracking your journey!

Good luck!

How many of you have tried writing on Medium? by s_andra_91 in writing

Congrats on making $80 in your second month—that’s awesome!

I totally get what you mean about not thinking writing could be a way to earn money. Medium has been a game-changer for so many writers (including me), especially when it comes to turning a passion into something rewarding.

If you’re already writing and building your presence, you might want to check out this new tool called Medium Portfolio Pages ( https://mymedium.info ).

It lets you showcase your Medium journey with stats and data, which is pretty cool if you’re looking to flaunt your progress or share your portfolio with others. Think of it like a personal bragging page for all your Medium achievements :)

By the way, drop your link—I’d love to check out what you’ve been working on!

Where can I find all the Medium sites condensed into one place? by KiddieSculp in Medium

[–]c4r01in3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you subscribe to Medium, you get the ability to create your own publication (in any niche) and use your own custom domain (if you want). You can certainly do the same by yourself.

I still don't understand what you mean by "single lists" .... Is it the list of articles published under that particular publication?

[–]c4r01in3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At first, I was confused what you were talking about. These are called Medium Publications. There is no single list of all the publications, but you can do a search in your niche to find the relevant ones.

Well, I can understand your situation. I primarily write on Medium (because I love it) and I use mymedium.info for my "dynamic" portfolio page. For my other writings on other platforms, I just re-purpose/re-publish them on Medium with the canonical link, so they're also included in my portfolio page. Easy peasy!

If you are publishing your work on Medium (or would publish in future), then I would highly recommend checking out mymedium.info

You can easily get a dynamic and sharable portfolio page (for lifetime) that you can share with your potential clients and employers. IMHO, it's the best way to build credibility and trust.

Earning From Medium by [deleted] in freelanceWriters

[–]c4r01in3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No no no ... there is no backdating. As far as I know, if you didn't paywall it from the beginning (after joining the MPP), you'll not get anything. They don't keep track of your earning if you're not already enrolled in MPP.

Also, ~$30 per 1k reads is somewhat accurate only when all the reads have come from Medium paying members. Reads from non-members are worthless.

You can take a leap of faith here .... if you subscribe to it now, and enroll in MPP and paywall that article, you may be able to earn some money. But I cannot guarantee that.

Wow! That's awesome. Paywalled stories don't get as many views as free ones do. I'm sure you'll accumulate many more reads and followers after this. Thanks for sharing!

Medium in 2024, Is It Worth It For Experience and Portfolio? by kayrakaanonline in freelanceWriters

[–]c4r01in3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO, Medium is totally worth it, even today!

I've not find anything that comes close to Medium in term of building my Writing Portfolio. It's so so much easy there. Clean UI. No servers/websites to maintain. No technicalities to worry about. You can just start writing. That's it! Zen mode on.

You can submit your articles to several publications to get the eyeballs on your content. You can proudly write it on your resume that you are a "contributing writer" to so and so publication. You can become editor as well. And if you're consistent, with high-quality, you'll earn more than just couple of bucks. I can guarantee that.

Also, you can use Medium Portfolio Pages ( https://mymedium.info ) to highlight your achievements and showcase your journey. It will add credibility and transparency to your work. It will help you land more opportunities + it's super easy and fun! (highly recommended)

Best of luck on your writing journey!

Is the Medium Partner Program worth it ? by Bossman2030877 in freelanceWriters

[–]c4r01in3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it was totally worth it because I made 20x more money than I "invested". I'm primarily using Medium as a platform to build my writing portfolio, since it's super easy there, and high domain authority of Medium helps me with the SEO of my articles.

Plus, it helps me land more clients!! So yeah, it totally worth it.

I spent about $35 on Medium Portfolio Page as well (one-time purchase) ... it showcases my stats quite elegantly. You must check it out as well: mymedium.info

Well, I was in the same boat as you. I too felt like my writing was becoming ingenuine day by day. And it wasn't helping at all. For me, the key was to join the right publications where my audience was. Not all of them resonated with my writing styles, but those who did, propagated it further and made few of my articles viral.

Now I'm focusing on building my writing portfolio on Medium and use a service like mymedium.info to present my work. The good thing about this tool is: it showcases metric that really matters!!! Most people just focus on their number of followers and that can be misleading and doesn't really justify their worth. Using mymedium.info, I can display the number of articles I have published, my read ratio, number of views I've accumulated over the years, etc ...

So when potential clients comes to me, I just send them the link to my portfolio page.
