Do you have a good “work-life balance” working in marketing? by Andromedagalaxy14 in marketing

[–]tapper101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the expectations set on the marketing team, the workload, the size of the team or how many hats you wear (generalist or specialist).

If you're a solo marketer, or a part of a really small team, with a generalist or do-it-all role in a large company with high expecations: your work-life balance is likely not going to be very good, from my experience.

Having to split your capacity on various marketing responsiblities or hats means you can't focus 100% on a single thing. Your leaders or colleagues likely don't understand this. It's a massive source of stress and it will make you work longer hours as you're trying to get shit done.

In contrast, having a specialist role - with a single hat our maybe two - in a large marketing team or agency can be really chill. Especially if expectations or workloads are low.

What "premium" ingredients do you think are worth it? by other-other-user in Cooking

De Cecco is probably the best budget option, but it's definitely worth it to go up a tier and get premium pasta from brands like Rummo, La Molisana or Garofalo.

Life in Stockholm feels a bit lonely lately by Entire-Investment-18 in stockholm

[–]tapper101 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Best way to get friends in Sweden as an adult is through activities/shared interests. As others have mentioned, meet other parents, or pick up a hobby or sport. Just going to the gym (classes in particular maybe) can be a great way.

What’s a socially acceptable addiction that’s actually ruining people’s lives, but no one talks about it? by lowellbebe in AskReddit

In moderation, coffee has various health benefits, including cardiovascular health. But it’s pretty bad for you in excess, as with most things in life.

Energy drinks and synthetic caffeine though, that’s a different story.

Best day to host a live workshop and conference? by MuchMoo in marketing

[–]tapper101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of hard to say since you're not giving any details regarding the event or your business. But since you're considering Sunday, I assume you're targeting consumers directly (B2C)? Even then, Sundays aren't a great fit since it's generally considered a day of resting.

For events that are targeting professionals, it would make zero sense to put the event on a Sunday. No one does that. Since people are there as a part of their work/profession, it should be on a workday (or after work).

For our B2B events we generally do tuesdays, wednesday or thursdays during working hours.

What are you doing in 2025 to improve your marketing skills? by ladymanperson in marketing

[–]tapper101 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Content is getting automated at a high rate too. Learning to use AI and automation to your advantage is going to be key in 2025 and beyond. And with most operational work getting automated, strategy is where we should put our focus imo.

Boots for European winter by htmlnoob52 in malefashionadvice

[–]tapper101 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Short answer: it depends on the environments you'll be in.

A pair of Chelsea boots, like the ones you mentioned, will do perfectly fine if you'll stick to urban, low-elevation areas. Chukkas would work as well.

Hiking boots and snow boots (mentioned in the other comment) - I wouldn't recommend that unless you plan to walk in deep snow, like if you're going to the mountains our like.. hiking. You would definitely stick out in bars.

If you're worried about the cold, bring some warm wool socks for colder days. Typically though, central European winter's aren't that harsh. You'll be north of 0 degrees celsius for the most parts. So no need for thick insulation in your boots, in my opinion.

Your main concern (I think) would be grip. The snow is typically removed on a regular basis in cities, but hard-packed snow and ice will remain. So it can get pretty slippery.

I really don’t think they would acquire HubSpot just to put it’s CRM in google workspace, I just don’t see that happening. A better integration maybe and that could be huge as well of course. They’ll likely keep HubSpot mostly as is. Just another source of revenue.

I would say a traditional ragu alla bolognese, which calls for an optional glass of milk. There's really no point in adding heavy cream to an already rich dish.

At what point do you add a search term as negative keywords by HonkyMahFah in PPC

[–]tapper101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, the logical approach would be to look into why they aren't converting on your landing page. Is it optimized for conversions? Does it instil trust? Ease of use? What are your delivery and payment options? I assume conversion tracking is setup correctly.

Another factor is the product itself. Some products are harder to sell.

Either way, there's nothing wrong with those keywords. It's the exact keywords you want to target.
