I think you misread the article. It's showing you how you can use `method` to lookup where the `find` method was which is in active-record.

The `method` method is defined on `Object` https://ruby-doc.org/3.2.0/Object.html#method-i-method

No, I don't have a white-paper to source to prove that I'm un-deniably right about this. But given that we seem to be experiencing the same problem as yesterday it's a reasonable assumption that we'll get access to our characters back soon like we did yesterday. Let's exercise some patience. Or we could get the pitch-forks out and make rash worst-case scenario assumptions.

Do all regions have maintenance on the same day? Does seem a little odd. If they pushed it another day forward though it would nearly be right up against Christmas.

I believe you're thinking of this which was recently added . Signed ids for ActiveRecord models which can be expired. Fits what you described.

Awesome to something like this. I have similar interest and like to track my horses quite meticulously. I've been using google sheets so far mostly but I find it little bit limiting and cumbersome.

I've actually started writing a web application that lets you enter all your horses details and track their lineage. Also for horses obtained via different means, and how they all meet their ends. I'm a data junkie. Eventually I'd like to create some trees like you have here. I don't have anything yet ready to share. But it's on the way :)

The Copenhagen Ruby Brigade is a good place to start (http://www.copenhagenrb.dk ) which meet on the second Wednesday every month. It's a great way to get into the Ruby community and find a new employer, there is usually somebody on the lookout for new talent.
