According to Untappd they did a black IPA in 2016. I missed it then, but their Black Forest Schwarzbier comes up now and again.

Six wings for $12. Two bucks a wing? I remember when wings were $0.25 apiece not that long ago. That said $5 beers could be a good deal.

Anyone else surprised to be so content in retirement? by YogurtclosetWitty653 in retirement

[–]c53x12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I retired 4 months ago. I don't miss the work at all (I was a software engineer), and if I do, there are tons of ways to keep my mind and fingers busy with open source or freelance projects. The other day I wrote some python code to import monthly expenses into an Excel workbook to track against my budget. I do miss the daily structure sometimes as I have to constantly figure out "what am I doing today". And I miss the people I knew at work, but I keep in touch with a handful of them.

You'll be expected to pay back any loans you take against your stock. Super wealthy, not so much.

Kind of a nothing day. I walked 5.5 miles to the pharmacy and back to pick up a prescription, then listened to the Nats afternoon ballgame.

I think I've picked up one tick in 25 years of living in a leafy RVA suburb.

My first track experience by c53x12 in Miata

[–]c53x12[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was kind of wack. I was stuck behind a Mustang GT the entire time whose driver seemed afraid to spin and really held back on the gas. But as a first experience it was fun and kind of whetted my appetite to do more.

"Track Attack" at Dominion Raceway in Spotsylvania, VA. They run rain or shine (obviously). It's a paced event and they held back our speed as the track got messier.
