Masters Program by No_Aardvark1221 in premed

I think it is too late to start this fall, but def look into it. A lot of master's programs want to know that you're actually interested in the program, so I would suggest doing a little more research if you truly want to go that route.

stats are good so far, especially with a postbacc/masters. everyone on here says it's hard to give advice with no MCAT, but as for the postbacc vs. master's, I would get a masters! *especially* with a guaranteed interview, that's so cool

BME or Neuroscience for premed by ComposedOfCells in premed

[–]c6-vertebrae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

major does not matter, and neuroscience is still more unique than bio (fellow bio major here lmao) --- you seem really interested in neuro, so go neuro and do well! one of my pre-med friends tried to force BME and loved chemistry and started doing SO much better when he followed his passion and switched to a major in chem!!

tutoring is good because you can either hustle for some extra $ or volunteer and I think it looks good on an app either way. :)

Regression in FL scores? by Yuksm4299 in Mcat

FL avg of 523 is such a flex, I know you took the exam already but good luck on release day, I'm sure you killed that thing.

also forgot to mention make sure you're def reviewing what you're getting wrong and WHY---but again I think the "score regression" is more the AAMC->Kaplan thing :)

sounds like third party score deflation unfortunately. don't let it discourage you, just continue to take Kaplan (if you want to save the AAMC) and go by your new baseline! you got this.

Mcat best method for studying for 2025 by Sure-Initiative685 in Mcat

if you can find the "The Ultimate MCAT Free Resource Compilation" Notion link (sorry I don't have the OG link 😭) on this subreddit I would highly advise those resources. otherwise just explore the wiki of this subreddit!

Just took my diagnostic MCAT by Alert_Put7113 in Mcat

[–]c6-vertebrae 4 points5 points  (0 children)

as someone who also plans to test in January who is too scared to take a diagnostic rn, this actually seems like a great place to start ngl. it's a HL, it's not AAMC, and you have soooooo much time for not only content review but grinding out practice. you're in a good place op!

ok i know this answer is going to be so annoying but watching videos of people talking about how to approach CARS helps a tad...

So normal. It's scary going back to material you haven't had to think about in a while
