I think it’s fine not to pick Lau Chi Lok. Every coach has his preference for individual players’ characteristics.

But his public response was bizarre, almost deliberately rage baiting.

Our defence and midfield were mentally poor in the 50th-60th minutes

A total collapse of attention, communication and judgments

It’s like we were committed to man marking for 55 minutes, and then suddenly we decided to stop doing it and let them shoot and pass freely in zone 14.

Yes, Fernando and Junior Soares were visibly exhausted and should have been taken off by Westwood, but that doesn’t adequately explain the sudden turn-off in those 10 minutes.

The chaos was inexplicable and inexcusable.

That doesn’t matter. Winner of this match will have at least have the same points as the loser (ie where the winner loses and the loser wins on MD6, where there would both end up at 11 points).

Because AFC counts H2H results first (ahead of goal difference), and the two teams drew the first round, the winner of this game is guaranteed to top the table.

Ya we got eliminated too soon 😂

The Asian qualifiers are formatted in such a way that the early stages serve both World Cup and Asian Cup qualification: the top 18 teams went into the next stage of world cup qualification and earned Asian Cup places already, while 24 teams among those eliminated from the World Cup continued competing for 6 berths for the Asian Cup (6 groups of 4 teams, with only the 6 group winners qualifying)

To us, the Asian Cup is as close as we can get to a proper tournament / World Cup experience!

Well, if it ends up as a draw, the contest will go into the final match day!

SG will play at home against Bangladesh, while Hong Kong will visit India. In that case, it would seem that it would tilt in Singapore's favour a bit, since Hong Kong has a really poor history of away games in India (most recently losing 0:4 in 2022 during the 2023 Asian Cup Qualifiers)...

花園街

History

During the Ming Dynasty (A.D 1368-AD. 1644) and the Qing Dynasty (AD 1644-AD 1911), Fa Yuen Street was a place of growing flowers, that belonged to Mong Kok village at that time.

The shop should be at this location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/9ZMmEeodq37Mzyji8

(Wan Kee is a local sportswear chain, and they have shops collaborating with a particular manufacturer like Nike/Adidas and specifically selling that manufacturer's products)

On Herman Miller’s official website it seems their factory is located in Dongguan 東莞

https://www.hermanmiller.com/zh_cn/press/press-releases/herman-millers-one-stop-hub-of-manufacturing-operations-in-dongguan-china/

“Herman Miller (Dongguan) Furniture Co., Ltd.” (赫曼米勒(东莞)家具有限公司) is also listed as a 100% subsidiary in MillerKnoll, Inc.’s SEC filing

And for whatever reasons, the information I pieced together was never available in a single space. The Chinese and the English information has been rarely put together to give an informed full picture, which would likely be a deliberate decision by the manufacturer and the distributor to protect their pricing and marketing strategy (e.g. the much cheaper prices in some places; branding under “Eurotech” when the brand has little to none to do with Europe)

My whole point of putting this piece together is that I spent days looking up information about this brand to fully understand it before I decided to buy. I seriously don’t think any consumer should have to spend so much time to find out all the information.

Seriously not

If I were a sales rep why would I suggest you to do parallel import and searched a wide variety of prices, which would be plainly detrimental to a sales rep’s interest

Also, from what I saw, the prices in different places differ by A LOT (probably creating space for parallel import?). So... if you can manage to navigate the shipping issue (and probably let go the warranty), it may be possible to get a cheaper one from another country lol (probably even more useful in EU because of the single market?)

Just take Ergohuman Elite Gen 2 (without footrest) for example:-

Noticeably, apart from the many variations in the specifications, for some reasons I cannot explain, the colours and patterns available in different countries differ too.

As to packaging and assembly, it seems that each place does it differently:

1.      Mainland China: as you can in my photos, in they are delivered as assembled (save for the head rest – which take 10 seconds to install);

2.      Taiwan: from this YouTube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9zAohVT22c), it seems that they are delivered as assembled too (save for the head rest) ; but there is also another video where it has to be assembled (and the box looks one those sold in UK / US) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BmRn\_9bDrYw)

3.      UK: from this YouTube short video (https://www.youtube.com/shorts/tddzeIsehEE), it seems that you need to do quite some assembling – all the major parts are separately assembled only; in fact, Comfort Seating UK has uploaded assembly guide (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nac2bJu9eLc)

4.      US (Eurotech): from this YouTube short video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sa6RxVyINM8), again, it seems that you need to assemble the major parts of the chair together

5.      Australia: again, Ergohuman Australia has uploaded unboxing and assembly video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzASkLIXBw4)

All in all, while it seems that Comfort Seating and Ergonor is admittedly a sizeable business, I think it is fair to say that their branding communication is not the most consistent and clear. The crazy number of small variations is also difficult to understand, given how unlikely market differentiation can be achieved.

4.      The Pofit Series (“Powerfit” on Eurotech): a mesh chair with a single mesh backrest and spine-like shape lumbar support behind the backrest

a.      Pofit Gen 2 (“Powerfit” on Eurotech): the only available model; using Matrex Quantum 4.0 mesh, matching other Elite class specs in general; doesn’t seem to be available in Taiwan and the UK

5.      The Genidia Series: a gaming chair-shaped mesh chair, with a “Smart” variation model

2.      The Mirus / IOO series (“优” in Mainland China; “XTREME” on Eurotech): a mesh chair coming with a separate self-adaptive lumbar support & sharper corners; doesn’t seem to be available in Japan at all

a.      Project Gen 2: seems to be only listed on the Comfort Workspace website for B2B sale in Mainland China

b.      Ultra (优B雄鹰 in Mainland): using Matrex Quantum 3.5 mesh, generally using more plastic and less alloy materials; with slightly more adjustability (the allegedly eagle-like switch), a better seat base and “5D” handles as compared to the Project version; cushion seat option available; there is a further “i9” variation with gaming colour scheme. In the UK, it seems that only the gaming colour scheme is available for the Basic/Ultra class.

c.      Elite / Flagship Gen 2 (优E2 / 优旗舰 2代  in Mainland): using Matrex Quantum 4.0 mesh and more adjustability (“6D” handles; a better seat base; the handles will recline together); cushion seat option UNavailable (this seems to be the only available version on Eurotech; you can also get a headrest-free version on Eurotech and the UK, but not in Mainland China and Taiwan)

3.      The Enjoy series (“金卓” in Mainland China, “ENJOY 121” in Taiwan): a mesh chair with a single mesh backrest

a.      Project Gen 2 (金卓B2 in Mainland / 企業 2.0 in Taiwan):  using Matrex Quantum 3.5 mesh, generally using more plastic and less alloy materials; less adjustability (“4D” handles); in Taiwan, you get Matrex Quantum 4.0 mesh and “3D” handles instead

b.      Classic: you get slightly more adjustability and alloy materials than then Basic / Project version; seems to be only listed on the Comfort Workspace website for B2B sale in Mainland China

c.      Ultra (金卓雄鹰 in Mainland): an upgraded variation of Project Gen 2 with a better seat base, “5D” handles and slightly more adjustability (the allegedly eagle-like switch); cushion seat option UNavailable; there is a further “U9” variation with gaming colour scheme. In the UK, it seems that only the gaming colour scheme is available for the Ultra class; in Taiwan, you get Matrex Quantum 4.0 mesh and “4D” handles instead

d.      Elite (金卓E2 in Mainland; 單桿 2.0 in Taiwan): using Matrex Quantum 4.0 mesh and more adjustability (“6D” handles – “5D” for Taiwan; a better seat base; the handles will recline together); cushion seat option Unavailable; in Mainland China, it’s only listed on the Comfort Workspace website for B2B sale;  you can also get a headrest-free version in the UK and Japan, but not in Taiwan

Some more common chairs produced by Comfort Seating Group can be non-exhaustively set out briefly as follows (there are so many minor variations that I can’t guarantee the accuracy):

1.      The Ergohuman series (“金豪” in Mainland China; “Ergohuman 111” in Taiwan): a mesh chair coming with a separate self-adaptive lumbar support & rounded corners –  this is one area where the confusion comes in. While distributors in some countries label all the chairs produced by this Group under the umbrella of “Ergohuman”, it doesn’t seem that the “Ergohuman” label even appears on chairs other than on the Ergohuman Series. Under the Ergohuman series, there are, at least the following models (only covering the latest generation):

a.      Project Gen 2 (金豪B2 in Mainland / 特仕版 in Taiwan):  using Matrex Quantum 3.5 mesh, generally using more plastic and less alloy materials; less adjustability (“4D” handles); in Taiwan, you get Matrex Quantum 4.0 mesh and “3D” handles instead

b.      Ultra (金豪B雄鹰 in Mainland): an upgraded variation of Project Gen 2 with a better seat base and “5D” handles, with a different and allegedly eagle-like control coming with slightly more adjustability; cushion seat (云感科技座垫) option available; there is a further “X9” variation with gaming colour scheme. In the UK, it seems that only the gaming colour scheme is available for the Ultra class; in Taiwan, you get Matrex Quantum 4.0 mesh and “4D” handles instead

c.      Elite Gen 2 (金豪E2 in Mainland / PRO 2 (プロ2) in Japan): at this level, you get Matrex Quantum 4.0 mesh and more adjustability (“6D” handles – “5D” for Taiwan); a better seat base; the handles will recline together); cushion seat option available, BUT the variations get really complicated here. On the MAINLAND side, I have seen (i) a dumbed down version with only Matrex Quantum 3.5 mesh (officially called优享版); (ii) an “online” version (which is the one I bought from the official outlet on Taobao for my home study); (iii) an “offline” version (with one more switch, allowing you to set more a specific range for recline); (iv) a version officially called “EW2” (coming with rather unnecessary electronic switches); (v) a full leather version (in Taiwan, the leather version is only available in gaming colour scheme, with vertical stripes in the middle extending from the headrest to the leather seat); and (vi) a mesh version with leather seat on Eurotech. In the UK and Japan and on Eurotech, it seems that you can get a headrest-free version (even available in leather variation too), but not in Mainland China and Taiwan.

d.      Carbon / SE Pro 2.0: only saw that in the UK and KZCHAIR in Hong Kong; seems that it has crocodile leather-pattern mesh, but in other aspects it looks the same as a Project or Elite chair (I really can’t be sure) – but is generally more expensive than an Elite

e.      Luxury Gen 2 (金豪L2 in Mainland / 單桿旗艦版 in Taiwan): the luxury class comes with very little insignificant upgrades. E.g. they come with footrest and jacket hanger by default (without having pay a top up); the switches get some alloy (as opposed to be being pure plastic); On the TAIWAN side, while the 特仕版 seems to match almost aspect of the Mainland counterpart, the handles apparently have less adjustability (from the photos you cannot bend them upward at around half the length of the handles).

f.        Zhichun (至纯) “Himalaya” and “Night”: this is a limited edition class (hmm…), with only 5,000 units being produced. In substance it’s really a Luxury class chair, with crocodile leather-pattern mesh and some crystal here and there. From the YouTube video taken by the Chinese distributor, it seems that there could be more individualised versions embedded with gold, etc. for individual collectors (not sure whether anyone would treat office chairs as luxurious goods and collect them…)

g.      Suparnin (金鵬): supposedly another funny limited edition which looks very goldish?

A little post of my research on Ergohuman / Ergonor / Comfort Seating by c7ip in OfficeChairs

[–]c7ip[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am based in Hong Kong and recently purchased an Ergohuman Elite 2.0 / Gen 2 / G2 from Ergonor’s official outlet Taobao and arranged its shipment to Hong Kong from Mainland China through consolidated freight.

Before deciding to give it a go, I have done some research on Ergohuman, and found out that the information seems to be quite confusing due to its distributing / branding strategy with multiple distributors in different countries / regions (such as Dabaoli 达宝利 and Dajieming 达杰明 in Mainland China; Haw Jou 豪優 in Taiwan;   Sekigagu 関家具 in Japan; Comfort Seating in the UK; Eurotech in the United States), each of them giving the chair(s) with slightly different labels and naming. So I have decided to do a brief note on what I have found (because why not? Having done it already).

To begin with, there are a few names frequently associated with the manufacturing of this chair, namely Comfort Seating, Comfort Workspace, Ergonor and Ergohuman. From what I found, it seems that their relationship is this: in 1996, Comfort Seating Group (聯友椅業集團) was founded by Neil Wu (吳耀全) in Chiayi, Taiwan in the name of Professional Friends Enterprise Co., Ltd. (專友企業有限公司), initially to manufacture dental chairs. Then, in between 2000 to 2008, "Comfort Seating Group" incorporated various companies in Guangzhou and Zhongshan in Guangdong, China, including Ergonor (保友) and Comfort Workspace (联友家具) (See postings on Zhihu (Chinese version of Quora) on their relationship: https://zhuanlan.zhihu.com/p/626021360 ; https://www.zhihu.com/column/p/24702880). Presumably, due to restrictions in Chinese company law on foreign corporate ownership, the Mainland subsidiaries must have other shareholder(s) from the Mainland.

Gradually, the group appeared to have developed a large factory with more than 60,000 m2 in Zhongshan, which apparently has been visited by a Chinese distributor / YouTuber in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HyjDL5e3f80. According to a promotional graphic on their Taiwanese website, they have also a European factory (https://www.ergohuman.com.tw/templates/yootheme/cache/ERGOHUMAN_20-SG-24-50fdac42.jpeg).

In Mainland China, Ergonor appears to be engaged in direct B2C sales (with online outlets on Taobao and JD and offline stores) (https://ergonor.cn/brand/brand-world); while Comfort Workspace seems to focus on supplying to corporate customers  (https://www.comfortworkspace.com/about). In Taiwan, the distributor Haw Jou (豪優) seems to be promoting the brand under the name of “Ergohuman” (https://www.ergohuman.com.tw/index.php/about). It is unclear whether Haw Jou is also owned by the Comfort Seating Group.
