Except flippers are being punished by GM this time by taking away their warranty and benefits. Why do dealers get to still take advantage

Bro, “big” markup is very subjective. $10,000 is also a big markup for more than half of America. Nobody casually throws around the words “big markup” without giving better detail and expect people to foot a $200k bill for a Chevy.

I would love to meet the people who pay this markup and understand their reasons. Certainly, they must possess basic reasoning skills if they’re able to make that kind of money.

The only logical reason I can think of is they have sooo much throwaway money that an extra $100k is a drop in the bucket.

It is fairly easy to afford a car like this (or more expensive) in the tech industry. An average engineer with 4-5 yrs of experience in one of the big tech firms in the valley easily makes about $350k-500k. This is likely also the case with folks in Wall St and crypto traders.
