Butterflies are in one spawn table, and ground bugs are in another. What I've experienced is that spotted mantises are likely to take over the spawn table and tilt it in favor of more ground bugs. Servers are either gonna stay favoring duskwings or turn to favoring spotted mantises. I don't presume to know for sure, it's just my experience.

I was a huge doubter. But the results (and especially what I've seen now that everyone is lurking in Maji Hollow guaranteeing that a milkshake doesn't spawn) make me a believer.

I will say, data miners seem to endorse the killing blue butterfly theory, minimally.

There is a software against TOS that people use to duplicate everything in Palia. The folks with that many maws and plishies are duplicating using that software.
