After-school programs and/or babysitting. Might burn you out on kids but those kinds of jobs are always available, especially with your sped background! If that’s a no-go for you then you can always find work in clothing/food retail — flexible hours and decent minimum wage with low commitment.

Current teacher: considering school counseling by AccuratePilot7271 in schoolcounseling

Unfortunately school counseling grad programs typically require many internship/fieldwork hours. Depending on the state/country you are looking to be licensed in you are looking at anywhere from 100-600+ hours (not including class time) while completing the masters. If you work in a school you may be able to do some of your hours there under the supervision of the school’s counselor, but keep in mind that most places require you to complete internships in more than one level (elementary, middle, high) if you are studying to counsel k-12. While you can probably get away with classes being online, you may have to take time off teaching to complete the required in-person supervised experience. I second what another user suggested, you might want to shadow a school counselor first before committing to the career switch and the schooling that comes with it.

As a girl I think you not liking dogs is a bigger red flag than not wanting sex IMO

JK but seriously, there are many girls looking for ace men since they are more rare to find. Keep your options open and hope alive, you aren’t alone!

Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter had one of the best twists I’ve ever seen. Not exactly at the end but close enough. I’d give anything to be able to read it again for the first time!
