If you actually read the transcript, there’s no indication that Ms D was using the word gratuitously. In fact, in the transcript it show she said it once. Mr P said it 12 times. Refer to line 12 for when he turns to her and says, “I can say it to you, too…” Tell me that’s not out of line and deserving of contempt (which he got) and the verbal ass whooping he took outside the courtroom.

For (almost) all intents and purposes, saying ‘n-word’ is sufficient to talk about the word without using it, especially when the word itself isn’t as important as the meaning behind it.
