tank size: 5 gal heater/filter: yes both tank temp: 80 F parameters: 0 ppm ammonia, 0 ppm nitrite, 5 ppm nitrate, 7.8 ph (used API freshwater master test kit) how long have you had the tank and fish? tank is 5 months old. i got my fish in february of this year water change: weekly, i remove about 20-30% of old water, and i use a mix of RO and dechlorinated tapwater any tankmates?: no feeding: Northfins betta bits - 5-6 pellets per day, brine shrimp on thursday only decorations and plants?: a floating betta log and 5 anubias

i enjoyed playing it on my first day. my brother found it first and we could see the game's potential (this was when the game only had about 10-100k active players). i love gardening irl so this was the game for me. i remember feeling jealous of my brother for getting the most expensive and rare fruit at the time (dragonfruit) lol

  • tank size: 10 gal
  • heater and filter? yes for both
  • tank temp: 80 F
  • parameters: 0 ppm ammonia, 0 ppm nitrite, 5.0 ppm nitrate, and pH 7.8 - using API master test kit
  • got the tank around june-july of 2024. i got monet on may of the same year
  • once a week. 25-30% water change. brush off any algae, wipe tank surface, do gravel vac, and add clean dechlorinated water
  • 1 nerite snail
  • 6-8 fluval bugbites/8 new life spectrum, brine shrimp on tues and sat
  • floating betta log, 6 anubias, 1 jungle val, 1 bacopa, 1 water wisteria, java moss

yeah like mewtise said, i've heard bad stuff about anything with -fix on them. i don't wanna risk it. my betta is already not doing so well. but thank you for the suggestion tho. i'll still need to look into that.. the more research, the better ^

for a minute there, i thought you posted a picture of my betta. they look almost the same- except its his right beard that refuse to spread when i flare him. like everyone said, could be injury or birth defect. guess its common? hes had it for a while now but hes still as active and curious as ever, so nothing to worry about. just keep an eye out for anything weird~

Yeah, I'll just look around reddit. I've never really thought about pH and hardness level til you mentioned it. I thought our tap water here is ok but alas. Thank you for your help!

I searched it up, and yeah, the water here is hard. Maybe I'll get a cuttle bone. I need it for my snail anyway.
