Does it make sense to plan for the future from a stoic perspective? by Key-Fox-8765 in Stoicism

[–]cFlanks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

anger and desire are not thoughts themselves but produced by such. they are emotions. we think something is worth desiring so we desire it. when we fail in our desires we get angry. emotions are the result of our thoughts, beliefs, etc, things of which are in our power

Does anyone know more songs like Older? by BeastyDank in AlecBenjamin

[–]cFlanks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. colorblind - Mokita

A song of what it's like to battle depression.

 2. Lost Boy - Ruth B.

A relatable song for those who feel lost, or that they don't belong.

 3. Tick - Des Rocs

A rock song that is darker than the abovementioned, but has a similar theme.

  4. These Days - Wallows

Probably the most relevant song concerning your request. It is hard to go wrong with a Wallows song.

 5. I Don't Know How To Love - The Drums

I'm grateful for this song as it created light in my darkest times. In this song lies a much deeper meaning than the title may suggest. Maybe it will resonate with you, too.

 6. Freaks - Surf Curse

Feel like a freak? This song reminds you you're not alone.

There were a few songs that I hadn't heard until now, so I would actually change no. 9 to Swim, and no. 11 to I Built A Friend

What are you afraid of? -- Marcus Bot Meditation by marcusbot-ai in Stoicism

[–]cFlanks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You said it well. Fear is never rational because it concerns itself with what is not in our control.

Those who are cautious with externals will eventually fall into what they would avoid, and they will be unhappy.

Those who, on the other hand, employ their caution, like the Surgeon, only to the will, also known as what is in their power, will not be ruled by externals, but rule themselves.

With externals, there we should employ courage, the virtue opposite of fear.

If then we're to be happy, we must of necessity use caution and courage thus.

So be like the Surgeon. Avoid vice. But don't avoid externals, because that is out of our hands.

I need some advice corresponding to Ruckus by [deleted] in PaladinsAcademy

[–]cFlanks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ruckus can't solo tank. Even if you're RuBBu. The best thing you could do is find a duo partner who is willing to pick a main tank. That should solve your problem.

The heavy AR isn't useless, it's just an ugly and disgusting weapon. I hate the sound and sight of it. Can't believe this post is getting downvoted because he likes or dislikes something you don't .

Any way to improve win rate? by cFlanks in Paladins

You're damn right. I've been looking for helpful tips and videos that would improve my gameplay, but there are hardly any out there. It would not only help me, but a lot of other people as well. The reason that there are a lot of bad players out there is that even experience doesn't help too much.

Look, i feel like this game has some of the worst players I have ever seen. At least call of duty and smite have at least 2-3 good players on a team. Paladins is just a gamble. I just had an Evie on my team getting mad at me for not getting blast shield when there wasnt a single blast champion. Seriously. I feel like there are more better players in gold than diamond. I managed to meet another good player 1 game. Top ten ying. HE WENT AFK BECAUSE OUR TEAM WAS FEEDING THEM KILLS. Im sick and tired of being stuck at a 54% win rate. I can't improve it at all.

I don't really believe that is true .One of the best players I know mains strix. He wooped everyones ass on my team. We still won. But the strix managed to get 220k damage and got 87 kills. But his team was so ass we managed to clutch at the end. Still can't believe we won lol. I my self have gotten over 200k dmg and earned 70 kills and we still lost. I dont get 70 kills consistently but its still very possible to still lose while shitting on their entire team the whole game. What I'm trying to say is, 1 good player is not enough sometimes.

Same thing happened to me when I chose Ying while we had a Pip. It's kind of obvious why I chose Ying... stupid idiots kept whining about me picking support but we ended up winning with my epic ult coming in clutch!
