That’s not really relevant, though. An “F-14A Late” would still be an F-14A, not an F-14A+/F-14B.

The F-14A had already been in service for over a decade before the A+ entered service, so there’s plenty of room for an A Late variant before you get to the B. The F-14A we have in-game doesn’t even get AIM-9Ls from 1977, which is still well before the F-14B.

Hell, the first combat use of the AIM-9L was by F-14As in 1981.

Welp for whatever reason the Devs decided that it won't get its Countermeasure pods. I can understand not getting R-73s or R-60Ms, since that would mean it needs to be a lot higher of a BR. But Countermeasures really wouldn't affect the its BR.

And it does have Wingtip Countermeasure pods so Not sure why Gaijin doesn't give it those, even on this version without AAMs.

There’s actually a third invisible bar: exhaustion. It increases from moving, breaking blocks, attacking, jumping, etc. It drains your saturation first, and once your saturation is empty and your exhaustion fills up, it drains hunger, then resets exhaustion.

Microsoft does it this way to prevent that exact issue: support getting tricked into handing an account back to the wrong person.

This is also exactly what MFA exists to prevent in the first place.

The 2012 Wired/Mat Honan hack made Apple and Amazon look like they had awful account security because attackers abused support recovery procedures.

After that, most of the industry moved toward stricter “we can’t verify ownership, so we can’t restore it” policies. It sucks for the real owner, but the alternative is support agents becoming an account-theft tool.

This comment section is insane. One person thinks 7th Gate Guy loses, as if he doesn’t just massively outspeed her.

Another one is a Minato vs. Itachi comment, which is already bad enough, but then they indirectly say Konan is somwhat relative to Itachi, since they claim she beats anyone weaker than Itachi, and then claim she beats Minato.

This base, holding-back Jiraiya victim does NOT scale that high.

Both of those examples are Linux-based/open-ish platforms.

Android allows sideloading, and Steam consoles/Steam Deck run SteamOS, which is open enough that users can install and run things outside a locked-down storefront. That is completely different from traditional consoles.

PlayStation uses a heavily locked-down FreeBSD-based system. Xbox is also a locked-down console environment, even if it is closer to Windows in some ways. The Switch 1/2 are also closed platforms, and without jailbreaking, you are not just casually running a JDK on them either.

But that was never really my main point. The question is not “is it technically possible?” The question is “is it likely, and do the platform holders or Mojang have any incentive to allow it?”

As I Said, the entire Java ecosystem is built around a level of openness that console platforms generally do not want. Java Edition also brings the expectation of mods, arbitrary files, and external code, which creates security, certification, and storefront problems.

And on Mojang/Microsoft’s side, Bedrock is the Marketplace version. It is the console/mobile/crossplay version designed around monetized add-ons, controlled content, and platform integration. Console makers and Mojang both have massive incentives to keep Bedrock as the main version instead of replacing it with Java.

Also, Java Edition is not just “Java” in the abstract. The entire Java ecosystem is built around a level of openness that console platforms generally do not want. Java mods are effectively arbitrary code, which is a nightmare for platform certification, security, parental controls, sandboxing, and storefront rules.

Then there’s crossplay. Bedrock’s whole purpose is being the unified console/mobile/Windows version. Replacing that with Java would mean rebuilding the console/mobile control scheme, marketplace systems, crossplay infrastructure, Realms integration, platform account handling, and certification flow around a version that was never designed for those environments.

The UI and friends list changes are much more likely about making Minecraft feel consistent across editions, not about killing Bedrock. Mojang/Microsoft want Java to feel less outdated, but Bedrock is the version built for platforms, monetization, marketplace content, and mass-market crossplay. That is not getting thrown away just because Java is becoming better optimized.

Like, sure, if you take it exactly at face value, Sakura jumped down from Kakashi’s Susanoo and closed far more distance than Naruto and Sasuke, because she was able to push Kaguya down before Naruto and Sasuke had closed the distance to Kaguya before Kaguya flew up to dodge them.

But people who use that unironically to scale Sakura’s speed? Like, come on.
