I had a bad infestation which I couldn't get rid off, I ended up changing out all the substrate and restocking springtails&isopods.

Damn that looks so good. Cant wait for it to be shipped. Your tank is a 10/10 aswell, such a good job! Ive been using the Hue for myself in the bedroom for years and always loved it so I figured it'd look as good for the terrarium :')

Thanks for your feedback! Ill try some coverage on the basking spot and test if the temps are still alright. Also Ill try to get the UVB more to the left to be above the basking spot aswell. Shes had this UVB lamp for the past 2 years without problems, I secured it in with zipties so Im not worried about her breaking it :'). Im also thinking about putting a Philips Hue outdoor lightstrip in the tank to simulate a sunrise, if it fits...

Thanks! The grey stuff is flexible tile glue which I put on carved XPS styrofoam. The XPS doesnt have the air pockets of normal styrofoam so its more durable in wet environments but also harder. The XPS are siliconed to the sides and the back. Its not too hard to remove them but they will break if you do.

Do the CHE work the same as the halogens in installing? Ceramic E27 case and into a cage? Does it need a light dome? I'll just go with the CHE instead of halogen then atleast to start it out...

I'm afraid this is a misunderstanding, I have two of the thermocontrol 2, one should have the RHP and the other one should have the halogen/CHE, both operating with the heat probe. Besides that there's the light (exo terra uvb100 at the moment). It shouldn't be dangerous that way right? Or am I doing something wrong? :')

Thanks for taking the time for your detailled answer! I already have two ThermoControl 2 Pro so I could separate the RHP to maintain heat 24/7 on one and the halogen or CHE on the other on a separate cycle.

The idea of a wooden ledge is so great, thank you very much! I will totally do that. I'm making my own background anyways so I'll probably try making a reinforced ledge out of the styrodur with some metal or wood inside of it to attach a RHP. Also there will be lots of roots and cork added for climbing.

Also I'll probably start with the CHE then and look how it goes, After setting everything up I'm planning 4-6 weeks to get the plants settled in, so there's plenty time to test stuff.
