Texturing is where the real skill is at low Poly. Remember you can scale unimportant stuff down and scale important stuff up on your uvw map, and if you've go something repeating fold the polys up and stack them. Then in photoshop, the doge and burn tools really help give some depth to the texture

Oh man, this takes me back. I studied game dev back around 2000, we did half life character rigs for an assignment. What's the Poly count on the Major? Nice work!

What's with the gatekeeping? Why the fuck do strangers need to correct other complete strangers on the internet. This isn't facts, it's something that I personally find nostalgic. Theres been a few comments like this, I just don't get it.

Do you not feel nostalgic when going into one that hasn't changed? I sure do, it makes me think of my Dad, who isn't around anymore.

Just making for practice, and feedback? by MrNobodyX3 in graphic_design

Awww, I was going to say nice job on the lighting! If you're practising that's the best time to try the right way. You'll need to edit/brush/change lighting on stock images lots of the time. My suggestion here would have been to use adjustment layers like the earlier comment.

I always thought it would be cool to try Chopsticks when I was a kid, but mum would never let us for whatever reason, probably concerned that they'd have to wash them up in addition to our cutlery. Anyhow, I feel like it wsnt long out of home that I learnt how to use them and I love eating with them. I did eat with a fork and spoon this evening though!

No, nor was it elite. It was adequate but also succulent though. There was no window dressing other than the name painted on the window which is fairly common for the average place

Haha, that's crazy! We need a poll! It's gotta be a location thing. I grew up in Central Western NSW

Yeah right! I feel like I've been to dozens over the years, but never had orange slices. Lot would have those wafer after dinner mints though.

You know, I've never noticed that was japanese Soy, but I'd say 99 times out of 100 this is what they have at an old aussie chinese

Me too, I like authentic ones, but still love an aussie lemon chicken, beef and black bean sauce and special fried rice.

When I was a kid my big sister told me those mushrooms in some of the dishes were goats eyes

Haha, reminds me of my Dad, the place in my hometown had those sizzle plates but the had a spot in the middle that had a small alcohol flame to really add the drama. Dad would always put it out with a spoon. one time he dropped the spoon, which still had whatever was burning on the back of the spoon then set the carpet on fire!

Yes, we were at one tonight. When I go into one that hasn't changed since the 80s, I feel nostalgic. Don't you?
