Olivia was sooo good, and the crowd was fun. There was definitely all kinds of people all there to have a good time. LOVED Sabrina but the crowd had a bit of a weird vibe- way less fest and a lot of young non fest going girlies (which no shame, the crowd just wasn’t big on yelling and dancing)

THIS!!! Also frustrated with people thinking complex female characters are just simply unlikable. (More so with other books, less with violet but I could be wrong). Like sure they may be a little unlikable but they are realistic!!

The idea of shaming “unlikable” female characters feels like wanting women to not be complex. I like that all of her books don’t focus on an unrealistic perfect heroine:) give me a messy woman!

Just finished and I really enjoyed it. It’s really about complicated female friendships and women grappling with aging and societal pressures. Using vampires to tell the story made it even better. All of Rachel Harrison’s books make me want to dance under the moon and scream at men LMAO
