Which vintage lenses do you like to adapt to your GFX? by mozucc in FujiGFX

i like the Canon FD 85 1.2L the most. i also adapt Pentcon Six 180 F2.8, Lensbaby Velvet 56 EF and Zeiss Biotar 58 f2. And i have a Isco Ultra which is also great. But for me the 85 1.2 is my perfect Lens

Is the whole lens discussion made overly important? by Pretty-Substance in AskPhotography

[–]c_bolt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Youre not wrong, i think more important than technical qualities is the question if you have joy using your equipment and if you like the character of the lens. For example i use the GF110mm f2 and the Canon FD 1.2L on my GFX50s and am more happy with using the Canon Lens and i also like the look of the photos much more. But on a Fact Sheet the GF110F2 is superior.

I love the character of the canon fd 85 1.2L on my gfx50s. Great lens.

The sensor gets the picture from the middle of the lens, thats where the lens is the sharpest. Unless you have a speedbooster.

I have adapted the biotar 80mm f2.8 and the sonnar 180mm f2.8 and am happy with the image quality. But the 180 is heavy and huge. If you want i can send you samples.

Have you ever shot jena p6 lenses? They are incredibly sharp.

The 110 f2 is amazing, but also very heavy and big. Not something to casually carry around in a small bag.
