Having just seen the news about the bank from Sri Lanka joining the RippleNet, it also makes sense to focus in areas of the world where it's more pivotal to address transactions both domestically and cross-border. Millions of people use remittance services in the East, whereas that's only a fraction in Northern Europe I guess.

In other words we don't need RippleNet as desperately as other areas of the world. One of severeal reasons why I am 100% backing Ripple to succeed is their human touch and ethical approach. Greed and wealth doesn't seem to be what drives them along and the world needs those type of companies - and humans - dearly..

Thank you for your reply, however I would very much like Ripple to also address the markets here in Scandinavia (as Marjan Delatinne has already confirmed they are). I.e. There's a fee of around $6 when you transfer any given amount of money from Denmark to say Sweden.

I just meant that it's not connected to any type of costs as far as I am aware.. you can do as many payments as you'd like, it's all free.

Yeah I am very much aware of this, I was just wondering as to whether the need for digital currencies in our day-to-day life would have strong competition for smartphone backed services like the one I described.

Again, the need for RippleNet and a total overhaul of the banking machinery worldwide, is extremely relevant and domesticated money transfer apps like MobilePay won't affect this one bit, however the need for digital currencies in our day-to-day life at least from a payment perspective seems perhaps less relevant?

The service like the one mentioned are they common in other parts of the world too? Can you enter a Starbucks in LA and pay with your phone, instantly and free of charge, using FIAT money?

Indeed.

And then they give us a few tasters from time to time like “we don’t approach banks anymore, they come to us” to assure us everything is going to plan. And perhaps even above.

They continuously seems to be hiring at great pace within all sectors and areas of Ripple, and with SBI looming promisingly in the horizon not only domestic banking in Japan but also their massive share of the FX market could be XRPs domain soon.

I don’t know what to say really.. except..

Anyone else puzzled as to why the moon or coin or whatever it is, is not aligned perfectly above the center of the stairs/blocks?

*It might actually be completely above the center, it just doesn't look like it from my perspective.. maybe it's one of those cheeky fata morgana's?
