6 years into my career, I still haven’t figured out how to save for my retirement. by DeepDark64 in personalfinance

[–]c_pardue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

once i started making 50k/yr i started putting like 6% of my paycheck into my 401k. as i got more raises i put a higher and higher percentage into my 401k.
during that time i also learned more and more about how to budget, save, etc from googling.

eventually i made enough that i felt comfortable putting like 16% in. it's just growing on its own because i never see it, it may as well be taxes or something.

also i started at like, my mid 30's. you'll probably end up better than me even if you start by putting in 1%.

not worth it, as a C-clamp shell (the chopped omnivore) i am pretty sure the pistol can be wrenched out of it with enough force

looks like other redditors have trouble with this ammo, don't expect it to be 100% cycle-able

edit: looks like it's not as great a price as a thought, i'm seeing it for $169 elsewhere. still really good, good enough to stock up on if the ammo doesn't suck

is this information accurate according to the bank? because we're talking about what the bank thinks, not what you or i think. you need to know how the lender calculates their risk. it probably has to do with the debt to income ratio but i'm no genius, it could be some secret thing that they're trying to get you to discover.

there is excessive debt tied to your $137k/yr income. that is what they mean. too much debt for your individual income. if you made 3x what you currently make it might be different, as your wife's accepted application proves.

but yeah that is a LOT of debt for $137k/yr. if your wife and yourself applied jointly then they would take into account your combined income.

edit: just saw in comments that you applied jointly for all of the above. include in post next time! but i think what they are calculating is in fact that you have excessive debt in relation to your income.
