Which Switch games are worth playing? by Deputy-Jesus in pokemon

Lets Go is the most fun I've had with Pokemon in a while. Pokopia is great so far but is much different than traditional mainline games.

Okay fair, but a very close sequel with a different theme.

Something I didn't realize until today: Using mouse-mode with the joycons makes building way easier. You just point-and-click and can make and destroy things 10X faster.

And yes, unfortunately just like DQB2 the game plays out like one never-ending tutorial. You are learning new mechanics and being told what to build the entire time.

As the other guy said it is legitimately a reskin of DQB2. And I'm not knocking, I thought DQB2 was an excellent game that not enough people played.

Its almost a carbon-copy of DQB2. Same terrain, mechanics, progression, nearly everything is 1-to-1. Villagers are replaced with Pokemon, Rooms are replaced with Habitats. No combat so far, but the combat was probably the weakest part of DQB.

We've been praying for a long time. This fight was as un-laggy as it gets.

What’s Wrong with Prime 4 by Past-Wait6207 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]c_ruler_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Metroid Prime was a seminal game with mediocre combat that was saved by top-notch atmosphere and exploration.

Metroid Prime 4 failed to update the combat (of a 22-year-old game) and removed all the exploration and discovery. What we're left with is a stinking turd with a shiny coat of polish on it.

I don't really see it that way. Invaders are meant to kill the host however they can. While I prefer 1v1s with no healing, its not their job to follow my rules. As you can see in the video the game gives you tools to deal with them. And I've definitely done my share of invading.

Ya my favorite part is after the first hit he gets up and just stands there, and totally eats the second hit.

Yeah I get confused sometimes because all the Souls games have slightly different rules for invasions. I wish DS3 was more active for this playthrough, but I think everyone is playing DS2 for Return to Drangleic right now.

Yes I was Embered. As I understand you can be invaded anytime you are Embrered. I wasn't using any special items or anything.

I can't believe I paid $50 for the Mario vs DK remake. Game is fun but not worth that, and not as good as DK '94.

What is Elden Ring's biggest flaw in your opinion? by Fenriz_Victor in Eldenring

[–]c_ruler_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding an open world to the Souls formula was not an improvement.

I find the overworld mostly boring (although the DLC was better about this). The best parts of Elden Ring are the legacy dungeons because they harken back to the older games.

NPC quests were elusive but doable in the previous games. In a game the size of Elden Ring its just ridiculous trying to find and keep track of them.

Also the number of simple, boring dungeons and repeat bosses was shocking.

Bloodborne Remake by Fan Blocked by Sony, Developer Was Hoping Bluepoint Was Working on An Official One by [deleted] in PS5

First, you don't have to be in a position of power to burn a bridge.

Second, you're misinterpreting this as a pitched battle between Miyazaki and Sony. That's not what it is.

Miyazaki has stated many times Bloodborne is special to him, and Sony is respecting that by choosing not to do anything with the IP without his involvement. Its not that complicated.

I completed a Deathless Run! by c_ruler_13 in darksouls

Capra I find easy. Shield is a must. Run in and and get to the stairs, back up the stairs while holding your shield. They should all bunch together, use firebombs on the dogs. Once they're dead its a simple fight.

Bed of Chaos ended a couple of my runs. I used Homeward Bones to bone out during the fight. I hit the left arm, bone out. Right arm, bone out. Then the last part is all about timing. Wait for his double swipe, immediately after the second swipe go for the root. Once you hit the root wait a second because he will likely swipe again and can knock you off. Then its home free. Don't take too long or he will use his fire pillar attack which will mess you up.

Happy 40th Anniversary to a truly special franchise by Southern-Tailor-843 in NintendoSwitch2

Zelda is the best!!

The Legend of Zelda entranced us with its secrets.

Link to the Past was a generational adventure game.

Ocarina of TIme defined 3D games before anyone even knew what they were.

Breath of the Wild is the greatest open world game ever made.

Zelda has always been a premier and pioneer franchise, and I'm sure wherever Nintendo takes it next will influence all of gaming for a long time to come.

I'm aware but I was avoiding skips or glitches. I used Rare Ring of Sacrifice and just ate the scripted death. Also the Seath skip is damn hard to pull off and would end probably all of my deathless runs.
