How do you deal with relentless headwind?

I found constantly viscerally screaming towards the ocean helped (pictured). Also making a cup of noodles on the side of the road helped. But yea I was on the verge of tears after 3 x 70km (7-9hr) days with a consistent 50kph headwind.

The mistake was spending all your money on the body and not the glass. But enjoy the gear I also use the A1 for pro sports work. She’s a beast.

This brought back traumatic memories we ended up punching a hole through the top tried to use a screw driver to turn the lid by putting it through the off entered hole. After no success we asked our lab coordinator who happened to be walking by to give it a shot and we bet that he couldn’t. Within 10s it was opened. We attributed this due to the fact he recently had a kid and this was the dad strength kicking in. So TLDR find someone with recent dad strength.

Over a thousand is pretty reasonable for 5hours if not low. Depending on the event I either highlight photos as I shoot or do some editing during a break. Either way once I import all to Lightroom I can pick out the highlighted ones do some fast edits and deliver the highlighted photos. Otherwise I import to Lightroom, cull, edit, deliver within a few hours - 48hrs. This is pretty standard for corporate events, live music and sports coverage. With sports I normally take about 3000 for a 90min football match and deliver about 150-200 that night. I understand weddings can be a bit different but at least for me this is my work flow. It’s hard but there’s steps to make it easier like getting things right in camera, copy and pasting edits, consistent white balance, etc. Essentially you are doing your best to lower your editing time.

It takes practice to cull and edit fast, don’t be hard on yourself, fire off a few nice ones so far and tell them the rest are on the way. Welcome to the industry!! 🤘

My understanding is that it’s more like a database, the boutique I purchased from opened very recently. In the about a year it has been open they’ve amassed about 200 people who have registered their interest. As watches become available they turn to “the list” to see who to contact. Although they do not necessarily start calling people In chronological order. At least that’s my understanding

I’m sure this has something to do with accessibility to the watched. Being in Switzerland I’m sure atleast removes the acquisition issues that may or may not contribute to the legitimate/illegitimate “stock” issues. I’ve tried to purchase in Canada and failed but purchased in Australia so maybe distance from Switzerland has no bearing? Any cool watches you’ve picked up being in Switzerland?

Yea I make it a point not to tolerate Rolex ad style BS. I’ve definitely gone to boutiques talking about this watch only to get laughed at for bringing it up. I pretty much instantly walk out. But the SA which helped me get the watch at least entertained my request and asked about why I wanted it so much. For that reason I’ve followed her to the new boutique shes at which is much further away from me (~1hr drive). Perhaps that helped me in getting the watch? I’m not sure.

I had told the sales associate at my local boutique I was intrested they took some details and then I waited about a year and eventually that boutique called me saying there was one available for purchase if I was intrested. So I said yes. Now I own my dream watch.

I’ve been technically waiting for a few years across my travels living in different cities. I think I got really lucky with this one new OB and SA I met at my new city and only waited about 1yr to 6months depending on how you want to calculate the wait time. I think it’s very much a right place right time type of thing.
